What I Got for Christmas 2018

Continuing the tradition of what I got for Christmas, I love seeing what everyone gets for Christmas.

Nude Eyeshadow palette: This eyeshadow palette is less than $5 and its a good one.  I love the nude colors and the pigmentation is great!

Aztec Pullover: I've been into comfy pullovers lately and I loved the subtle western vibe of this one.

Planner: I always love getting a planner for Christmas, perfect for getting organized for the new year.  I wanted a slightly larger one this year and this one if perfect!

Mauve Slip-On Sneakers: I am a big fan of slip on sneakers, I have had my eye on a mauve pair for so long and I finally got my hands on some!  These have memory foam and are a sueded material.

Knot Ring: My husband got this one for me and I LOVE it!!  It is so dainty and simple and I love the silver and gold combo.  The knot is connected together and I love the symbol of the knot.

Gift Cards: Can you really go wrong with gift cards??

Duck Boots: I got a pair of duck boots and these are super cozy.  They are lined and perfect for winter.

Cross Hoops: These hoops are so dainty and perfect for everyday.  I now have a silver pair and a gold.

Leopard Beanie: my sister surprised me with this one and I am obsessed with it!!  Leopard and olive together in a cozy beanie!

Camo Pullover: Another cozy pullover, this one is camo and I'm loving it.

Ring Backpack: I have had my eye on this one for a while and my sweet husband picked it up for me.  I love that you can wear it as a backpack or crossbody.  The quality is good and its a great dupe.

Plaid Gloves: I lost my favorite pair of gloves earlier this year so these were a great replacement.  I love the plaid, they are super cozy and have touch compatibility.

Nicholas Sparks Every Breath: I love getting a new book for Christmas, you can start the year off with a good read.  I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks and am really excited to start this one!

Tennis Shoes: My husband picked up these cute tennis shoes for me and I LOVE them!  They are super comfy and very slim and look really chic.  I am loving the olive color, a little bit different than your basic neutrals.  I can't wait to style them!

Carhartt Vest: Y'all I got my Carhartt vest!!  My husband is super sweet and picked it out for me.  I got the dark brown color and I think it is going to be perfect for pairing with so many things.  It is super cozy and really comfy!  I know it is something I will have for years!

Christmas Wish List

I have done this wishlist for a couple years now and couldn't miss this year.  I love seeing what people want for Christmas, it gives me ideas for things I might want.  Definitely not expecting all of these things, just giving an idea to my family members who ask for help ;)

Tennis Shoes:  I feel like a new pair of tennis shoes is always a good idea for a gift.  Mine always end up looking a little worn at the end of the year.  This New Balance pair is really cute and on sale!  Also eyeing these Adidas Flashbacks.  I'm  definitely into the olive color for tennis shoes right now.

Denim Jacket: I have been searching for the perfect denim jacket for years, this one from Target seems to be the perfect one.  It is such a great classic color and style, the fit is beautiful.  A requirement for my perfect denim jacket was to have a pocket inside for my phone.  It's actually not even really a pocket but you know the backing of the actual pocket on the inside makes another pocket (did that make sense?).  It makes a really convenient place to put your phone when walking around.

Nude Eyeshadow palette: I am a big fan of Wet N'Wild eyeshadow.  For the price you really can't beat it.  I have been eyeing this Nude Awakening palette and decided to wait on purchasing it and see if Santa brings it ;)

Cross Hoops: I love these delicate cross hoop earrings.  They are the huggie earrings so they are close to your ear.  I love the little accent of the cross and I know I will wear these all the time.

Candy: What is a stocking without a little candy??  My all time favorites are Reese's Christmas trees but my second favorite are these Russel Stover S'mores treats.  Kyle got them for me last year and I LOVED them!  I'm definitely hoping for a few in my stocking this year.

Ring Backpack: I have been thinking about this bag since the beginning of the year.  A friend has it and I always like how it looks.  Don't get excited it's definitely not a real Chloe (no way I would spend that) but it gives the same look.  I really like how you can wear it as a backpack or a crossbody.

Pullover: I spotted this pullover randomly on Amazon and really liked the Aztec vibe.  It is subtlety  western and looks super comfy.

Nicholas Sparks Every Breath: You know this had to be on my list.  I have read all the Nicholas Sparks books so I am really excited to check this one out.  I have heard it is really good!

High Top Slip on Sneakers: I have been looking for a pair of high top sneakers for a while now.  I spotted these at Target and loved their neutral color and simple style.  I have seen them on so many people on instagram so #instgrammademedoit

Carhartt Vest: Yes I want a Carhartt vest for Christmas.  I have wanted one of these for years.  I finally decided it was time to ask for one.  I have a Carhartt jacket I have had since high school and I love it.  I know I will wear this vest for years and years.

I hope this list gives you a few ideas.  What are you hoping for for Christmas?

What I Got for Christmas

Christmas has come and gone, this year it felt like it absolutely flew by.  I am always sad to see it go but excited to start the new year.  If you are a youtube fan I'm sure you have seen the crazy amount of What I Got For Christmas videos, these are some of my favorite videos to watch so I figured I would share what I got for Christmas:

Cross Hoop Earrings- I am in love with these!  I wore them pretty much the whole time we were traveling for Christmas.

Wonder Woman- Girl Power!!  If you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it, Gal Gadot is awesome!

FitBit Changable Straps: I got a new FitBit for Christmas and I love the fact that you can change the straps!  These two are perfect for dressing it up a little bit.

Planner: I always love getting a new planner for Christmas.  This one is from Michael's and is small enough to fit in my bag but still big enough to actually plan things, also this one is so cute!

Chick-Fil-A Calendar Card: If you know me you know Chick-Fil-A is my fast food restaurant of choice.  I love getting a calendar card because it is the gift that gives all year.  You get a free item every month and I love it.

Chenille Cardigan: I have been eyeing this cardigan for a while and am so excited to finally have it!  It is so soft and cozy.

Boxercraft Sherpa Vest: This vest is one of my favorites!  My husband picked this one up for me and it is so soft!

Whipstitch Saddle Bag: I am obsessed with this bag!  It looks just like the Rebecca Minkoff version.

FitBit Alta HR: New FitBit!!  This was something I really wanted and am so excited to have a new one!  I love the slim version and the fact that you can change the straps.

Duck Boots: I have been wanting a pair of duck boots for a while and am so excited to finally have a pair!

Espresso Machine: I am so excited to have an espresso machine to make my own lattes, americanos, cappuccinos...give me all the coffee!!!

Sunglasses: Always love a good pair of sunglasses.  These are such a nice print and look so chic.

Love Knot Bangle: My sweet husband picked this one up for me and I love it!!  It is so pretty to layer or wear on its own.

Sherpa Pullover: Y'all I have been living in this guy!  It is so crazy soft and warm.  I already want another one...

What did you get for Christmas?

Too Faced Natural Palette Dupe for $4!!

I am all about getting a good deal and am all for a good dupe.  No shame in my dupe game.
I love the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette, my husband got it for me for my birthday one year.  I have had it for about two years and it is still going strong.  It is the perfect everyday palette and I pretty much always travel with it.

I was shopping on Forever21 for Black Friday and saw this Night and Day Eyeshadow palette.  First of all the packaging was so pretty and it definitely looks a lot like the Too Faced palette.  P.S. this is $3.99!!

Side by side they don't look exactly the same but swatched they are pretty close.

Here they are swatched, Forever21 is on top and Too Faced is on bottom.  As you can tell the colors are really similar.  Of course the Too Faced shadows are creamier and more pigmented, but the Forever21 shadows aren't bad.  The Too Faced palette is almost $40 while the Forever21 palette is pretty much 90% off at $3.99.  This would make a really great gift for someone just getting into makeup.  It is a really nice palette for neutral looks.

Have you tried this palette?  Have you tried any other Forever21 makeup products?

Walmart Fashion Finds and Gift Ideas

If you've been around for awhile you know I am a big fan of Wal-Mart.  You can go get your groceries and pretty much anything else you need as well as shop for clothes and accessories.  I was in Wal-Mart recently and had a little time to browse around.  I found so many cute things that I had to share.  These could also be really cute, affordable gift ideas.  Check out my last Wal-Mart post here.

This top is so pretty!  Perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans.  It comes with a tank for easy pairing.  This one is online for $13

I love cuddling up in a cozy sweater in the winter and Wal-Mart has you covered for cute ones.  They have cold shoulder, cowl neck, zipper details, etc.  So many and less than $20!!

This top is so feminine!  Bell sleeves and velvet, you can't beat that.  I could see this one paired with a statement necklace for a party.  It's online for less than $15.

I am loving the bomber jacket trend going on.  These quilted jackets are super cozy and come in three colors.  They are the same price online right now.  My curvy ladies, these are on sale online for less than $15 here.

This bag is really nice and a total knockoff of the Michael Kors Hamilton.  They have them online for the same price but you also get a few different patterns.
