Friday Favorites

Woohoo it's Friday and favorites time!  I've got some birthday gifts to talk about, a tv show and a super random food favorite.

Beaded Hoop Earrings: These were a birthday gift and I am obsessed with them!  They are so pretty and add just a little boho vibe to a look.  I love the mixed metal beads.  I just got these last week and have already worn them a ton.

Sherpa Teddy Jacket: You guessed it this was another birthday gift and y'all it's a good one!  This is such a good dupe for the I Am Gia Pixie coat (that's like $150) and it's $20!  So cozy, oversized and the front pockets are nice and roomy.

Chocolate Hazelnut Bars: Yes this is super random but y'all these chocolate bars are AMAZING!!  I love hazelnut and these are perfection.  We actually got them in our stockings and have been rationing them so they last.  They have a creamy hazelnut inside, crunchy wafer outside and then delicious chocolate cover.  Oh my goodness they are so good!

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist: I had seen ads for this new show and figured I would see what all it was about.  I was hooked from the first episode!  If you are a fan of musicals this one is definitely for you!  Zoey is a computer coder and after an unusual event she can suddenly hear people's innermost thoughts through song.  All of a sudden people around her (strangers, family, friends) burst into song and dance that only she can see/hear.  Of course she is freaked out at first but things happen and she starts to realize that maybe this is a gift.  It is really cute, the music is fun and it is just a happy show.  I already recommended it to my sister's and friends to check out.  If you watched it let me know what you thought below!

Dr. Scholl's Kinney Platform Sneakers: I just got these sneakers in the mail the other day and I already LOVE them!  They were super comfy right off the bat.  I love the elevated platform for a little boost.  They are so cute and I know I will be wearing these on major repeat.

Hope you all had a great week and have a wonderful weekend!  I'm definitely spending this weekend getting my life organized...lots of exciting things coming soon!

Instagram Roundup

One of these days we will get back on the normal post schedule, here's hoping.  Regularly scheduled instagram roundup, just a different day:

These boots are my new favorite!  I have been wearing them on repeat and LOVE them!!  I love the boho cowgirl vibe, the flattering front cutout and they are really comfy.  For less than $40 you really can't beat it!  Check them out here from Madison and Mallory.
If you know me you know I am all about a little cow print.  I love adding a little cowgirl/western vibe to my look.  This cow print belt was a Christmas gift and I think it is so fun!  I have seen a lot of cow print around this season, I'm still searching for a fun pair of cow print sneakers (let me know if you find any!)

It happened, I turned 30...
I was so spoiled by my sweet friends and family making me feel special.
Check out my post here for more on how I spent my birthday.
All my favorite things in an outfit!  Floral, peplum, chenille and my favorite boots!

We spent my birthday weekend exploring and being a tourist in our town.  I have been wanting to see the Vulcan Statue for a while now and we finally made it happen!  I've got a post coming soon on our experience!

That's a wrap on the instagram roundup!  Hope y'all are having a great week!  If you aren't following me on instagram, check me out here.

Birthday Celebrations

Yes the rumors are true, I turned 30 ;)  I'll be honest I wasn't too excited about it, I've gotten used to it now and am excited to welcome a new decade of my life.  Here's to 30!
My birthday was on a Wednesday so celebrations started then and pretty much just continued to the weekend.  I thought I would share all the happenings:
First off I was surprised at work with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, cupcakes and balloons!
Are these flowers not the prettiest?!?
On my birthday night Kyle and I grabbed dinner at one of those create your own pizza places (so good!)  We also stopped by the new Nothing Bundt Cakes and picked up some.  He got the White Chocolate Raspberry which was delicious and I got my old standby Confetti which was delicious as well!  This was our first time trying them before and we were both surprised by how moist and delicious they were!  Highly recommend checking them out, also the bundlets are pretty big.
Of course I got my birthday Starbucks drink.  I went with my favorite Coconut milk Mocha Macchiatto.  I also had a free pastry from Panera and got the almond croissant that was AMAZING!
I've also got a post coming up with info on ALL the freebies you can get for your birthday!
I was definitely spoiled by my family and friends with all the sweet cards and gifts.
For a couple of years now Kyle has been taking me shopping for my birthday.  We make a day out of it and really enjoy the time together.
This year we started off with Frutta Bowls!  We are both obsessed with these things, if you haven't tried one they are so delicious!!
I have been wanting to check out the Vulcan Statue and Museum for a while now and we finally made it.  I've got a blog post coming with more info on our experience, be on the lookout!
We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping around.  How pretty are these Anthropologie mugs?  I love looking around that store but the prices are a little steep for me.
You know I stumbled on some deals.  Forever21 was having a crazy clearance sale and I found a pair of overalls and this really pretty tropical maxi dress for $3 each.
We ended the night with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.  It was a pretty long wait but look at that cheesecake!

Thanks to everyone for all the sweet birthday wishes, gifts and  making my day special!  I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.

Instagram Roundup

Things got a little swapped this week as far as posts with sharing President's Day sales but here we are with my Instagram weekly roundup:

I talked about this haul in a blog post last week but I scored BIG at Dirt Cheap!  I found 5 cute tops for a total of $5!
Talking about those $1 tops here is one in action.  I love this cozy hoodie and have worn it quite a few times since.   I paired it with this cozy sherpa jacket from ShopPeach, my Golden Goose dupe sneakers and my favorite Rebecca Minkoff bag.

We celebrated Valentine's weekend with ALL the athletic events.  I have been wanting to go to a gymnastics meet for a while and we finally made that happen.  We also went to a basketball game with a few friends.  Both had Alabama wins so I'd say they were a success.

I LOVE velvet, this blush pink pleated skirt is one of my favorite pieces.  It is so feminine and girly.  I paired it with a thrifted cozy sweater and my leopard flats for church.

Hope you all have had a wonderful week!  We have had so much rain but hopefully it will dry out a little bit soon, I'm ready for some sunshine.  Make sure to follow me on instagram if you aren't already to see what I'm up to!

Bloomingdale's: I'll be honest I am not a typical shopper of Bloomingdale's but they have a really good clearance sale going on right now.  Clearance is an additional 50% off!  I found some really beautiful Baublebar jewelry that ends up being less than $10!

Sephora: Do Not Miss this one!!  They hardly ever do sales like this!  Up to 50% off so many top brads.  I found Too Faced, Kat Von D, Huda Beauty and MORE!

Dirt Cheap haul

It has been a while since I have shared a haul.  I really haven't been shopping very much.  I had a little free time and decided to stop by Dirt Cheap and see if they had any good deals.
I found some really great finds!  They are trying to get rid of all their winter items so a chunk of items were marked $1!
Yep I got five tops for $5, breaking the bank on this haul...
I picked up this cozy hoodie with fun feminine balloon sleeves.  I've already worn this one a few times and was definitely a favorite find.
I love the Knox Rose items so I'm always excited to find them on deals.  This flowy top in my favorite color with a fun smocked detail is perfect!
I also picked up the balloon sleeve hoodie in this green color.  Definitely already worn this one too.
This sweater was such a steal!  It is the Who What Where brand and the quality is great!  I love the polka dot knit texture, so chic.
Funny story, I almost bought this one from Target online on clearance but wasn't sure about sizing so I let it go.  It sold out and I always wanted it.  When I found it at Dirt Cheap for $1 I knew it was just meant to be.  Super cute, cozy and true ;)

That's my quick little Dirt Cheap haul, small but I was so excited to find all these for $1!
Let me know your recent deal finds, I love hearing about your finds!

Instagram Roundup

It's that time again, instagram roundup!  I didn't get as many posts up this week as I wanted, but we are getting there ;)

I got these new camo leggings from ShopPeach and they are SO comfy!!  Bonus, they are REVERSIBLE?!  I've also been wearing this sherpa jacket like crazy, so cozy and I love the light blue color for spring.

These shoes are such a deal!!  In case you missed my post on them, check it out here!  They are such a great dupe for the Adidas Swift Runs and they are less than $20!  Styles are selling out online but I have found them to restock pretty regularly.  You can also check the inventory at your local store, mine had a lot.

I love when I get to pair all my favorites in one outfit.  This star dress was a DirtCheap find for less than $2.  The buttery soft, faux suede moto jacket is from ShopPeach.  These boots are a new favorite from Madison and Mallory and I'm OBSESSED with them!  They are the perfect touch of boho cowgirl and I know I am going to wear them a ton!  They are also less than $40, run don't walk!

When I see pretty flowers I have to take a picture, it's probably a rule somewhere ;)

Hope you all have a great start to your Monday and a great week!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  Back at it with my favorite things from the week.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid Solution: I had heard a lot of things about this brand and decided to finally give it a try.  I have been using this solution at night everyday for a little over a week and my skin definitely feels softer, I'm interested to see more results and try out more from this brand.  If you have tried it let me know your recommendations!

Purse Strap: I am a fan of adding a little character to my items and changing out my purse strap was such an easy thing to update.  Amazon has LOADS of options in so many patterns and colors!  This snake print one is so fun!  I like the wider strap, much more comfortable and I love the option to switch up the look of my bags.

The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris: A heartbreaking, beautiful testament to love and the drive to live.  I am planning a more in depth review later when I talk about my books I have been reading but this one was hard (heavy material) to read yet so hard to put down.  If you are interested in WWII/Holocaust related books this one is a must read.

Rebecca Minkoff Regan Satchel: My bag of choice has been this suede Regan satchel from Rebecca Minkoff.  I love the tassel accents and subtle boho/western vibe it gives off.  The crossbody strap is pretty thin so I have been switching it out for the amazon wide purse straps.  They also have a leather version on NordstromRack

Kate Spade Floral Phone Case: I have had this case on for a few weeks and it just might be my favorite case I have had in quite a while.  I love how thin and compact it is yet my phone still feels protected.  It also doesn't hurt that it is really pretty.  I have the Google Pixel 2XL and got a great deal on mine from Walmart but they also have other models on Amazon.

Let me know what you have discovered and loved this week!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
