Five things Friday

Five things Friday

DisneyWorld!!!: Yep I ended up at Disney for the second time this year.  If you didn't read about my first trip, go here.  This trip was just for a day but a day at Disney is better than a day anywhere else, am I right?

e.l.f. Clay eyeshadow palette: I picked up this palette for $6 at e.l.f. on a whim.  It had good reviews and I'm a fan of e.l.f. so I wanted to test it.  The pigment is great, feels smooth and looks really pretty on.  For $6 it is similar to other high end palettes I have for so much cheaper!

Shop Ellie Belle: I am a brand rep for this cute little boutique and I'm in love!  I recently got sent a pair of monogrammed sleep shorts and a monogrammed tumbler (check out my Instagram for pics) and am obsessed with them!!!  The shorts are super soft and the tumbler is perfect for hot or cold drinks, plus it's adorable!  Check them out for affordable monogrammed goodies and great customer service!  Also if you use coupon code "erinssharings" you get $2 off any drink ware item!  They are adorable y'all, they even have Lilly prints!

Joanna Gaines: Oh how I love Joanna Gaines!  She is an amazing decorator, I want all her clothes, her kids are adorable and her and Chip are too cute together.  What's not to love?  If you're not watching Fixer Upper what are you doing with your life???

Russel Dickerson's "Yours": Discovered this song while searching through Spotify and it's pretty much been on repeat ever since.  His voice is great and the lyrics are sweet.  It's a love song, which is pretty much my favorite type and its country so I'm all over it.

Brow Drama: Influenster Unboxing

I received the Influenster Brow Drama Maybelline box.  Don't know what Influenster is, check out my post here.
Basically it's free product for your opinions.
Anyways so I got these brow crayons from Maybelline and I'm just so-so on them.
They are a waxy consistency so they hold your brows in place but also have pigmented color to fill them in.
I got the colors blonde and auburn.  I'm a natural redhead but my brows have never matched my hair color so there's that.
I'm no brow expert by any means and am still learning how to do my little baby brows.  If you're into brow products give them a go and let me know what you think!

Kate Spade inspired earrings for $1??

While grocery shopping at Walmart I stumbled upon these adorable earrings for $1!!  They had so many different colors and shapes.  I had to have the bees and the pineapples.  Obviously for $1 they aren't the best quality but for that cheap I can handle it.  They are perfect for summer and I am loving them!

New favorite monogram store

I've mentioned it before but I am a brand rep for the cutest monogram store Ellie Belle. The owner is the sweetest and provides top notch customer service.

I had the chance to preview a monogrammed tumbler and monogrammed polka dot pajama shorts.

I am obsessed with the tumbler!  I have been using it to carry my drinks to work, travel, wherever I'm going.  Its a large size so it holds a lot of liquid.  Plus it is so cute!  You can get the monogram in so many different colors and even Lilly prints!

The shorts are adorable, super soft and fit great.  I love wearing these around the house!

Use the coupon "erinssharings" for $2 off any drinkware item!!

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Marrakesh Hair Oil: I received this in my FabFitFun Spring box.  I have just recently discovered hair oils and was really excited to get one in my box.  This smells AMAZING!!  I put a little in the ends of my hair and it smooths things out, adds some shine, and makes it smell great too.

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah: Oh this book!  I talked about this on instagram already and I'm going to talk about it in my monthly reads so I won't go into crazy detail.  I loved this book.  I didn't want to stop reading it and I didn't want it to end.  The characters, the story, the setting everything was perfect.  The story is beautiful, haunting and is a book I feel every woman should read.  It is one that will stay with you long after you have finished.  I also heard a movie is in the works.

Haagen-Dazs Banana Rum Jam Ice Cream: So this ice cream was a random purchase.  It was .25 cents on clearance at Walmart, yep only a quarter.  I thought it looked interesting.  Oh man I should have bought more.  This is such an interesting flavor and different from anything else I have had.  The banana flavor is complemented perfectly by the vanilla, slight rum, and lime.  No flavor is overwhelming they just blend perfectly together.  It's one of my new favorites!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: I got this for Christmas just to try and I love it!  Now it's not exactly like the beauty blender but it gets the job done.  It's really soft and applies makeup nicely.  If you are in the market for a beauty blender to apply foundation check this one out.

Tick Tock Fizz BathBombs: I received these bathbombs to test and love them!  I got one of the adorable cupcake bathbombs.  These are so cute my husband thought he could eat it.  I also got the green tea bomb.  They make your bath smell amazing and my skin was so soft afterwards.  If you are a fan of Lush, check these out!

I stopped by Dirt Cheap the other day and found the best deal!  They have had Gap sweaters for months but they were never the right price.  Low and behold when I stopped in I saw a big rack of them with $1 price tag!  You better believe I stocked up.  I picked up 7 for myself for (yep) $7.  Ca-ra-zy!!!

Two long soft cardigans (baby blue and coral).
Four light knit sweaters and one Tres Cool sweater.

Each sweater had the original price tag still on and size stickers.  Price for each sweater was $39.99 original!

The Tres Cool sweater was originally $54.99!!

All my sweaters came to an original price of $294.93 and I paid $7!!!

I may have also picked up a few sweaters for my husband and gifts for others because they were $1!!!  Brand spanking new Gap sweaters for $1!!!

This is why I love Dort Cheap guys!!!

Recent Deal Finds (anthropologie, gap, and more)

I hadn't been thrifting in forever and I had the day off work, so I went on a deal search.

I am a mugaholic...I just love mugs. These two were so cute and less than $1 apiece.  The polka dotted one was a Christmas mug from Nordstrom (I just may use it all year long though).  The E mug was my favorite find and I may have squealed a little when I found it.  This mug is from Anthropologie and guys I got it for .99 cents!!

I also found this cute little straw embroiled bag for $1.99.  I thought it would be so cute for the summer and also for the cruise I'm going on in a month!!!

I picked up a big ole stack of books because they were .25 cents apiece.  Can't beat it.  I love getting a stack of books...I am my mother's daughter.

I stopped by Big Lots and found the Easter section, which was 90% off! (Clearance happy dance) I got this cute little duck basket for .60 cents and these adorable eggs for .20 cents!  I'm imagining those eggs in a bowl as decoration or something, they are too cute!

This wreath was beautiful and I picked it up for $1.20!!!  So classy and shabby chic!  I can't wait to pull these out next year!

You just can't beat these deals!  This is why I thrift and clearance shop y'all.

What I Read in March

Anyone else feel like this year is flying by??  I know I say this every month but I can't believe it is already April.  This month was actually a good reading month I read three books:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith: I was interested in reading this book because of the movie coming out.  It was actually very entertaining.  Simply put its Pride and Prejudice interrupted by the occasional zombie attack.  I found it comical to picture Elizabeth and the other Bennet sisters being ladylike at a ball and then bam zombie attack they are whipping out their swords and chipping off heads.  Some of the fits and gore were a little gross it overall the story was creative and entertaining.

The Orchard: A Memoir by: Theresa Weir: I picked this up on a whim because of the cover (I know) and the recommendation by Nicholas Sparks on the front (again I know).  It was pretty good.  I flew through it as it had short chapters, my favorite.  It follows a girl and her marriage to an apple farmer.  I wasn't sure what to make of the environmental aspect and the light farming was portrayed.  I do believe that farmers should be mindful of their environmental impact and I think they have come a long way.  Story was good, I just have a gaurd raised against farmer portrayal.

The Lucky Ones by Anna Godbersen: Another book picked up on a whim.  This is the third book in The Bright Ones series.  I didn't know it was a series and probably would have waited to read  the others but I was able to figure out characters and storylines ok.   I read The Luxe by Anna Godbersen before and really liked it, this one didn't disappoint.  The story is set in the 20's right before the depression and during the time of flappers and prohibition.  It follows three young girls and their drama and relationships during this time.  One is married and her husband is a bootlegger, one is in love with an African American pilot and the other is an up and coming actress.  Prepare for lots of drama, glamour and love.

Spring Outfits

Lets be honest, living in Alabama spring starts pretty early.  It still gets a little chilly so I throw on a cardigan most days but here are some of my favorite outfits I wore through March:

This Forever21 chambray tunic top is definitely going to be on repeat for spring, it's a great backdrop for fun accessories like this J.Crew statement necklace.

Cardigans are my favorite and this one I picked up on clearance at Forever21 is super soft.  I also love to throw on soft light scarves in the summer on chillier days.

Another favorite layering piece has been this cargo vest.  I love the feminine cinched detailing.  My Target striped bag is another one of my favorites (picked up for $8 from Dirt Cheap along with the cute tassel).

Mixing feminine details with more boyish pieces is always fun.  This camo top was picked up at Dirt Cheap and the blush cardigan from Walmart on clearance for $3, that statement necklace was another Walmart clearance find.

I have always loved floral print and this Forever21 clearance dress was so fun!

This dress was another clearance find ($5 at Belk!!) and I am in love!  It is super comfy and easy to wear.  I love the hippie vibe it gives.

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Almay Smart Shade Light-Pink Lipstick: This lipstick is one of those smart shaders that are supposed to flatter your skin tone.  They have around 3 shades for each skin tone range (light, light-medium, medium, etc.)  Each set features the shades pink, berry and nude.  I picked up the pink for light skin tones and love it!  It really does flatter a light skin tone.  It is moisturizing and feels great on your lips.  The color payoff is great and it also stays on for a good amount of time.  It's a new favorite for spring.

Special K Brownie Bites: Yummm!  For 100 calories these little guys pack good chocolate flavor.  They are perfect for providing that little amount of chocolate fix or sweetness without messing up your whole day.  Now they are pretty small and they aren't the most decadent brownies but when you are watching your calories these are a nice treat!

Walmart Canvas Shoes: I picked these up from Walmart on a late night random run in with my husband for $2 on clearance.  They are Vans look-a-likes and are perfect for throwing on with everything.  They did take a little while to break in (blister city) but now they fit like a dream and are one of my favorite everyday shoes.  For $2 you can't beat it!

Jill and Jessa Counting On: The Duggars are back!!!  Y'all know I love the Duggar family and I am absolutely loving the new series Jill and Jessa Counting On.  I watched it when it first started a couple of months ago but they only aired two episodes.  They recently started back up and I could not be more thrilled!  I love this show even more than "...Kids and Counting".  It follows both of the girls who are married and adjusting to motherhood.  I love getting a glimpse into their lives and getting to see a little bit of the lives of the other children.  I love how they view life and how their faith is displayed so easily.

NYX Wonder Stick in Universal: I picked this up at Dirt Cheap for $1 and absolutely fell in love!!  It is the perfect contour tool.  Now I am no expert at makeup by any means, and I am a total newbie at contouring.  This tool makes it a little easier.  I use the brown side to draw the contour lines and the illuminating end to highlight.  Then I use a brush to blend it all in.  It really makes a difference in your face.  Try it out and let me know what you think.
