Recent purchases

I've made a few purchases lately and wanted to share them with y'all.  Late night nursing means scrolling instagram or Amazon...resulting in some purchases.

I recently got back into Thredup and snagged a few things for a steal!

 I picked up this really fun denim jacket with ruffle trim.  I love a denim jacket and the feminine detail on this one is so cute!  It is from the brand BP, originally from Nordstrom and was less than $20!

 

My other thredup find was this flowy peplum top from Urban Outfitters.  This top was instafamous a while back and I always loved it but didn't want to pay full price.  I snagged it from Thredup for less than half the price (I think I paid around $6).  I have already worn it a TON.  Bonus it is perfect for nursing as it is super flowy and covers well.

I have been looking for a pair of chic classic looking sandals and found these on Amazon.  They are such a good dupe.

I thrifted this super cute striped henley top for $1 and can't wait to style it for fall.

Cow print is in and I LOVE it!  I picked up this wallet from Shein for $5 and it is so fun!

 

 

DSW had a major sale and I scored these Vans for around $16!  I was definitely inspired by Jen from TheSisterStudio on instagram to pick up the black and white version.  I wasn't sure how often I was going to wear them but they have been a go-to shoe lately.

Instagram Roundup

Another week, another insta roundup.  This one is special, showing the birth of our sweet baby girl!

 

Here she is!  Miss Shelby Elizabeth entered the world just a few minutes before her due date.  We are so in love!

Having a baby flips your life completely around, but she is so sweet and we are loving being her parents.  Her bee blanket is one of my favorites from Sole Luna Designs.  We wrapped it around her on her way home from the hospital.

I love a personalized piece!  This onesie from The Mommy Barn is my favorite and I can't wait till she grows into it!

Forever21 Haul

Forever21 has been having a few sales, throw that in with a free shipping offer and I'm sold.  I picked up a few things on clearance, one jacket that is a MUST-HAVE!

Wild Hearts Distressed Tee: Love a good graphic tee.  This one is super soft and oversized with some distressed detailing.

Leopard Slippers: Needed a new pair of slippers.  These aren't the most comfortable things ever but they were $3 so they are comfy enough.

Oversized Sweatshirt Jacket: THE JACKET!  I scored this one on major sale and I LOVE IT!  It looks like a Free People jacket but for so much cheaper!

Jacket was definitely an instagram inspired purchase.  Saw it on wishes_reality and darylanndenner and knew I had to have it!  I love the comfy slouchy vibe. 

They brought it back out in a few other colors as well.  Trust me, snag this one you won't regret it.  I know I will be living in this come fall.

PostPartum Essentials

 

I watched a ton of videos and read all the blog posts on postpartum must-haves.  Now that I have officially been through it I wanted to share some things that I found useful.

Ice packs: I got a few from the hospital but these are nice to just have in the freezer.  Sitting on these definitely helps!

Slippers: You're not going anywhere or putting on real clothes so treat your feet to some comfy slippers.

Peri Bottle: I picked up one of these from Amazon, I also got one from the hospital but it was nice to have one in each bathroom.  After pregnancy going to the bathroom is a whole process for a little while.

Adult diapers: Oh so glamorous but these were way easier to use than pads.  Comfy and covered.

Postpartum leggings: Everyone is different, some people want to feel compressed while others want super loose.  I had a vaginal delivery and felt like my leggings were comfy afterwards.  These are made for postpartum and are great!

Tucks: I also got these from the hospital and amazon but again good to have for different bathrooms.  Cooling and soothing for everything going on.

Dermaplast: Yes, this stuff is a must!  My nurses told me to spray after using the restroom.  It's cooling and also numbing so helps everything feel so much better. 

Mamastrut: This is a little pricey but is really comfy and helps with everything.  Holds pads in place as well as ice packs and gives you some support.  The design is really nice for the ice packs so that it's comfortable and staying where you want it. 

My hospital was super great and gave me a ton of stuff as well:

Mesh undies (they look crazy but are super comfy)

HUGE pads

Witch hazel pads

Hydrocortisone cream

Peri bottle (I bought one as well but the hospital one worked just fine)

 

Take EVERYTHING they give you, even if you don't think you will use it.  I had an awesome nurse and she sent me home with a whole bag of extras.

Instagram Roundup

Here we are still playing catch-up...mommying is daily survival y'all.   

Love these sweet little baby moccasins.  Can't wait till baby girl is big enough to wear them.  These are from Lady Kate Boutique and they are adorable!

 

Got the sweetest gift set in the mail from Queen Maddyn with a super soft robe and matching baby gown and headband.  So sweet!  It is the most comfy robe and I have been living in it postpartum.

 

You can never have too many changing pads!  This one from SplashPad is HUGE!  I have it in the car for emergencies.
