Sephora birthday

I just recently celebrated my birthday and picked up my FREE Sephora Birthday Gift.  This year you got to pick from Three different options!
If you are unfamiliar with the Sephora Birthday gift you are definitely missing out!  You sign up for their FREE insider program and every year during your birthday month you get a free gift.  It's always a nice deluxe sample.
Like I said they had three options to pick from this time: a MILK makeup set, Briogeo hair set and a Janerio lotion set.  I typically pick the makeup set but this time I went with the lotion set.  I have tried this lotion before and it smells AMAZING!

You get two deluxe sample sizes of the lotion in this cute little box.
They are small but they are perfect for travel or throwing in your purse.  The yellow one is the classic that I'm obsessed with and the teal one is a newer scent and y'all it smells like a cookie!

Totally FREE and definitely worth it!  Have you gotten your birthday gift yet?  Let me know which one you picked or would pick!

Friday Favorites

Back with a Friday favorites!  These are the things I have been obsessed with lately and wanted to share them with you so you can share the obsession.

Twisted Cable Bracelet: I'm all about a good designer dupe, this twisted x cable bracelet is a new favorite for sure!  I love the look of the Yurman bracelets but that price is crazy high, these bracelets are $20 and I'm obsessed!  They feel great and fit my wrist really well.

Blame it on my roots top: If I can wear my boots I'm a happy girl.  I love my cowgirl boots.  As soon as I saw this top I knew I had to have it!  This color is so cute and the fit is great.  Super comfy and perfect for showing off my country side.

Metallic snake sneakers: Meet my new favorite sneakers!!  I have been really enjoying the trendy Golden Goose inspired sneakers going around.  These have the cutest metallic snake print and just a little bit of sparkle.  They are really comfy and I have been pretty much living in them!  Don't miss out on these guys!

Rose lip gloss: I just picked up this gloss a few days ago and I am already in LOVE!!  I heard that it was a dupe for the FENTY Gloss Bomb so I really wanted to try it out.  It was on sale at Walgreens so I decided to pick it up.  Y'all this stuff feels amazing!!  It gives your lips a healthy, pretty glow but its not sticky at all.

Better Call Saul: We recently finished Breaking Bad and needed another show so we started this one.  If you are a fan of Breaking Bad give this one a try.  It has the same style but more of a drama, not quite as harsh and intense as Breaking Bad.  I am really enjoying the exploration of characters from Breaking Bad that I liked, Saul being top.

There's my weekly favorites, let me know what you have been loving!

Sephora 2018 Birthday Gift Review and Swatches

All my makeup lovers out there if you aren't a Sephora Rewards Member get on it!!  You get free makeup even if you don't buy anything.  If you do buy things at Sephora you get points that can then be redeemed for products.  For the free products you get a birthday gift every year during your birthday month.

This year the birthday gift was really exciting!  It was from Bite Beauty and you get an Amuse Bouche Lipstick Mini in Chai, Matte Creme Lip Crayon Mini in Glace, and an Agave Lip Treatment Sample.  There is also a GlamGlow gift if you are more into skincare.

They are "minis" but the size is really good, you get a lot of product.

For the lip treatment you get a sample of the scrub and balm.  I have been using the balm and really enjoying it, haven't tried the scrub but I'm sure it will do the job.

The lip crayon in glace is such a pretty color but it is a little drying on my lips.  I would recommend a chapstick or something to counteract before you put this on.

The lipstick is my favorite, such a great neutral color and it goes on really well.  Not drying, great pigment and stays on well.

All in all I am super happy with the birthday gift this year.  They are the perfect size for your purse and really great amount of products you get for free.

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Maybelline Warm Me Up: This lipstick has been my go to for weeks.  It was a recommendation from some friends and I am so glad I found it.  It is this really pretty nude mauve pink and I am obsessed with it!  With fall coming up the color is perfect for warming up your look :)

Felicity: So this show is an oldie.  I started watching this in college but never finished it.  It recently showed up on the ABC app and I had to start watching again.  Ahhh I forgot how much I loved this show!  It is so 90's, full of drama and I get so sucked into the story.  If you have never watched it, Felicity is a freshman in college.  She makes a life changing decision to follow her high school crush to New York for college.  There she makes friends, finds herself and gets into a crazy love triangle.  If you have never watched it, check it out.

Essie Armed and Ready: I have had this color for a few years and went through stages of like and dislike.  It is one of those weird colors that are really a little ugly (seriously this one looks like baby poop).  I like it with all it's ugliness.  It is a dark army green with just a slight shimmer.

Naturebox Praline Pumpkin Seeds: The pumpkin obsession continues with these delicious praline ones from Naturebox.  I had tried the Naturebox subscription service before and really enjoyed the snacks, they were just a little pricy to keep up.  Target started carrying them individually and every so often they go on a good sale.  I got these guys 40% off with the cartwheel app and used a $2 coupon bringing them to 25 cents each.  This is a crazy good deal for high quality healthier snacks.  These pumpkin seeds are so so good!  Not too sweet but still the perfect snack to satisfy that sweet craving.
Walmart Necklace: Walmart has really been stepping up there game lately and I am loving it.  I have found cute shirts, a bag and now this necklace.  I love anything turquoise, must come from my cowgirl background, this necklace was $5!  I love the beading, the tassel and the beautiful turquoise stone.  It feels like really good quality too.  I have been wearing it with dresses and tees but I can't wait to throw it on over some sweaters and pair it with my favorite boots.

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Starbucks Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato: Oh my goodness this is my new favorite Starbucks drink order!  It is the new limited edition summer drink and if you are a fan of the old standard caramel macchiato, try this one NOW!!!  Check out my review here to get more info!

Fergie Wet N' Wild Eyeshadow Palette: I picked this palette up from the Dollar Tee in a recent deal hunt.  I had seen it in stores fr a while and always thought it was pretty, when I found it for $1 I snatched that bad boy up.  This has been my go to for my makeup looks and the pigment is awesome!  These colors last all day and it rivals some of my high end products.

Lace Bralettes: Bralettes have been all the rage and I have been on the search for one that provided decent support, had pretty lace detail and wasn't too expensive.  I found these two from Amazon tat were under $10 and are really pretty.  These straps are really pretty showing under a dress or top.

Song Pop App: So I have a favorite app this week (and it's not pokemon go...).  On this app you hear a song and then guess what it is or who sings it based on the answer choices.  The cool part is you play against people.  Not gonna lie my husband and I have been battling each other in this.

Peanut Butter, Honey and Red Pepper Flakes on Toast:  Yes this sounds weird, and yes I have actually been eating this for breakfast.  I saw someone mention it on a blog and thought it sounded interesting.  We had some really nice bread leftover and it needed to be eaten so I have been having this concoction for breakfast.  Don't knock it till you try it!

Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Daily Moisturizer: This little guy is so cute and perfect for travel, especially for my cruise trip coming up!  I love that is has sunscreen.

Skinny Pop Jalapeno Popcorn: In all honesty I was a little scared of this popcorn, jalapenos??  I went to the gym before I checked the mail so I was starving and decided to break into this popcorn.  Honestly it was delicious!  Very slight jalapeno flavor and just mildly spicy.

Kashi GoLean Dark Chocolate Cashew Chia Bar: I haven't tried this flavor yet but I have tried some of the other chocolate flavors and they were great!

Beach Bag Essentials

My husband and I are going on a cruise at the end of the month and I couldn't be more excited!  I have never been on a cruise or to the Bahamas and I can't wait!!  In preparation for this I have gathered my beach bag essentials:

Monogrammed Canvas Tote: You need a bag to hold everything in so it might as well be a cute one!  This one zips and is machine washable so it's perfect for tossing all your stuff in sandy or not.

Sunscreen: As a ginger my skin is constantly being burned by the sun, so 30 SPF and up is my BFF.  But seriously pale or not get yourself some sunscreen, cancer isn't a good look for anyone.

Swimsuit: If you're going to the beach you need a swimsuit.  One piece, two piece, whatever you wear make sure it fits you well and makes you feel great!

Hair ties: Sand, wind and salty air can result in great texture but also some serious mess.  I always have hair ties in my bag to throw up my hair when it is getting a little out of control.

Chapstick: Sunburn doesn't just happen on your skin it can also damage your lips.  Make sure you have a chapstick with sunscreen!

Towel Clips: These little guys I picked up on eBay and are awesome!  They are for clipping your towels onto your beach chair so they don't blow away, also for staking your claim on your perfect spot.  These guys are cheap and super easy to throw in a bag.

Book: I love reading on the beach, the sound of the waves, warm sun and no worries.  I always save my best books for reading on vacation, I think it makes it a little more special.  Mary Kay Andrews is one of my favorites and I can't wait to start this one!

Sunnies: This is a no-brainer, if you are going to be out in the sun you have to protect your eyes!  These are one of my favorites I picked up at Ross for less than $5!  I don't buy expensive sunglasses since they always end up broken or lost.

Hat: I love throwing on a hat and sunnies for a relaxed beach day.  This is one of my favorites to rep my home state.  Hats are also great for a no-makeup, messy hair coverup.

Brush: Like I said before the beach can give your hair great texture but it can also give it some great tangles.  A brush is a must-have for taming those major tangles.

Tumbler: I always get super thirsty at the beach so I love to carry a cute cup!  This one from Ellie Belle has my monogram and holds a lot of water!  Use coupon code "erinssharings" for $2 off drinkware!

Five things Friday

Five things Friday

DisneyWorld!!!: Yep I ended up at Disney for the second time this year.  If you didn't read about my first trip, go here.  This trip was just for a day but a day at Disney is better than a day anywhere else, am I right?

e.l.f. Clay eyeshadow palette: I picked up this palette for $6 at e.l.f. on a whim.  It had good reviews and I'm a fan of e.l.f. so I wanted to test it.  The pigment is great, feels smooth and looks really pretty on.  For $6 it is similar to other high end palettes I have for so much cheaper!

Shop Ellie Belle: I am a brand rep for this cute little boutique and I'm in love!  I recently got sent a pair of monogrammed sleep shorts and a monogrammed tumbler (check out my Instagram for pics) and am obsessed with them!!!  The shorts are super soft and the tumbler is perfect for hot or cold drinks, plus it's adorable!  Check them out for affordable monogrammed goodies and great customer service!  Also if you use coupon code "erinssharings" you get $2 off any drink ware item!  They are adorable y'all, they even have Lilly prints!

Joanna Gaines: Oh how I love Joanna Gaines!  She is an amazing decorator, I want all her clothes, her kids are adorable and her and Chip are too cute together.  What's not to love?  If you're not watching Fixer Upper what are you doing with your life???

Russel Dickerson's "Yours": Discovered this song while searching through Spotify and it's pretty much been on repeat ever since.  His voice is great and the lyrics are sweet.  It's a love song, which is pretty much my favorite type and its country so I'm all over it.

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Almay Smart Shade Light-Pink Lipstick: This lipstick is one of those smart shaders that are supposed to flatter your skin tone.  They have around 3 shades for each skin tone range (light, light-medium, medium, etc.)  Each set features the shades pink, berry and nude.  I picked up the pink for light skin tones and love it!  It really does flatter a light skin tone.  It is moisturizing and feels great on your lips.  The color payoff is great and it also stays on for a good amount of time.  It's a new favorite for spring.

Special K Brownie Bites: Yummm!  For 100 calories these little guys pack good chocolate flavor.  They are perfect for providing that little amount of chocolate fix or sweetness without messing up your whole day.  Now they are pretty small and they aren't the most decadent brownies but when you are watching your calories these are a nice treat!

Walmart Canvas Shoes: I picked these up from Walmart on a late night random run in with my husband for $2 on clearance.  They are Vans look-a-likes and are perfect for throwing on with everything.  They did take a little while to break in (blister city) but now they fit like a dream and are one of my favorite everyday shoes.  For $2 you can't beat it!

Jill and Jessa Counting On: The Duggars are back!!!  Y'all know I love the Duggar family and I am absolutely loving the new series Jill and Jessa Counting On.  I watched it when it first started a couple of months ago but they only aired two episodes.  They recently started back up and I could not be more thrilled!  I love this show even more than "...Kids and Counting".  It follows both of the girls who are married and adjusting to motherhood.  I love getting a glimpse into their lives and getting to see a little bit of the lives of the other children.  I love how they view life and how their faith is displayed so easily.

NYX Wonder Stick in Universal: I picked this up at Dirt Cheap for $1 and absolutely fell in love!!  It is the perfect contour tool.  Now I am no expert at makeup by any means, and I am a total newbie at contouring.  This tool makes it a little easier.  I use the brown side to draw the contour lines and the illuminating end to highlight.  Then I use a brush to blend it all in.  It really makes a difference in your face.  Try it out and let me know what you think.

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Tarte Tartelette Matte Palette: This has been my go to palette for my daily makeup routine.  The colors are perfect for everyday, pigment is great and they are super blendable.  They are also all matte which is perfect for easy looks.

Anne of Green Gables: I'm jumping back into my childhood guys.  My mom got me the trilogy DVD set for Christmas and I have been getting my Anne Shirley on.  I just love the dramatic-ness of Anne and the romance between her and Gilbert (Ahhh Gilbert Blythe).  If you have never seen it I cannot recommend it enough.

Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain in Honey: This color is so easy to wear.  It is a flattering slightly glossy pink that is perfect for spring and summer.  It goes on nicely, feels great on your lips (moisturizing and not sticky) and then it leaves a pretty stain on your lips.

Chick-Fil-A Original Iced Coffee: guys this is my favorite iced coffee from a fast food place EVER!!!  The original is where it's at.  It has this rich, not too sweet flavor that almost has a hint of mocha flavoring.  It is my guilty pleasure and I would pick this over Starbucks...yep it's that good.

OPI Dulce De Leche: Rediscovered this in my nail polish drawer and I'm in love.  It is the perfect nude.  Not too pinky but not too tan.  For my pale skin it's hard to find a good nude that doesn't look weird.  This one is my favorite.  I've also really been into neutral ladylike colors on my nails recently.  I just feel like it gives off a classy vibe, and I'm digging it.

Favorite lip products for Spring

Favorite lip products for Spring

Spring is in the air and with that comes brighter colors, in nature, your clothes and makeup.

Here are my three favorite lip products that I love to bring out in the spring time:

NYX Simply Pink in SP01: I love NYX, high quality, drugstore price.  This line of lippies is all shades of pink.  I have the first one and it's just that a pretty, girly shade of pink.  Not too pink that you look like bubblegum but enough to wake up your face.

Rimmel The Only One in Naughty Nude: I picked this one up on a whim and it's my first Rimmel lippie, but it won't be my last.  The shade says nude but it's really more of a rosey pink.  It feels great, stains your lips a nice color and lasts and lasts. I love colors I don't really have to think about and this one is great.

Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain in Honey: I have had this one for a year and bought it because of recommendations on YouTube.  Ahhh it is one of my absolute favorites.  Easy to apply, flattering color and just enough gloss.  It also stays on well and adds a little stain.

As you can tell pinky colors are my choice for spring.  I'm more of a mauve girl in the fall and winter but I like to crack open some bright colors and wake up my face when the weather gets warm.

What are your favorite lip products for spring?

5 Things Friday

5 Things Friday
New year new Five Things Friday, no promises that this will be a regular every week but when I have exciting new things I'll let you know :)

L'Oreal Julianne Collection in Julianne's Nude: This was a clearance find from Target and I absolutely fell in love with the color.  It is the perfect nude, slightly more of a dark pink so it doesn't blend in with your skin.  I feel like is it a really nice complement to my skin tone.

Roman Numeral Gold Bar Necklace: If you have been following me on instagram (and if not go follow me!) you will probably have seen this necklace on repeat.  I wear it absolutely everyday, it is the perfect layering piece.  I have been wanting a necklace with our wedding date for so long and my sweet husband got one for me for Christmas.  It is such good quality, perfect size and I am so in love!

Poldark: Ahhhhh oh my goodness this show!  I had heard mentions of this show yet had never watched it (I'm actually not sure if it comes on in the US).  It is a UK show that comes on PBS Masterpiece.  It is based on the book series written by Winston Graham.  The show follows the handsome, rugged and mysterious Ross Poldark as he returns home from war to find his father has dies, his home is in shambles and his love is betrothed to his cousin.  Ross is such an interesting character (and his looks don't hurt either), I fell in love with this series.

Starbucks Watercolor Tumbler: I have been eyeing the Starbucks tumblers every year and just never ended up buying them.  This year I just decided I was going to pick one up.  This heart one is adorable!  I haven't yet taken it out of the house for fear of breaking it (it's ceramic y'all) but I love to use it on lazy Saturday mornings when I am drinking my coffee leisurely and I don't want it to get cold.

FitBit Charge HR: My husband pretty much won the award at Christmas presents this year.  He picked up a Fitbit for me. I had been eyeing them for a while and was so excited to have one of my own.  I love being able to track my steps everyday.  This little thing is pretty awesome.  It not only tracks steps but also your sleep, heart rate, calories, stairs and so much more.

15 Favorites of 2015

15 Favorites of 2015

I can't believe it is already 2016, anyone else feel like this year absolutely flew by?  2015 was a great year, packed full of new adventures (new state, new house, new jobs) and new favorites.  Here are 15 things I fell in love with in 2015:

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rollerball set: My sweet husband got me the Nirvana rollerball set for my birthday and I have been obsessed with it!  It is my absolute favorite scent!  I love to mix both of them together but if I had to pick my favorite it would be the black.  It is such a unique scent and I love to pair it with other scents.

Lypsyl: I had heard about this product on YouTube and I am a Chapstick junkie so I always want to try different ones.  I found mine at RiteAid on a great sale and stocked up.  This is my absolute favorite Chapstick.  It is silky smooth, feels amazing, stays moisturized and the little tube is so cute.

Too Faced Natural Eye Shadow Palette: This was another Birthday gift from my sweet husband and I'm obsessed with it.  It is the prettiest nude palette that is perfect for everyday wear.  The palette is compact and easy to travel with and I wear the shades all the time.  They are super pigmented, silky smooth and last.

Tazo Chai Latte: I love the chai latte from Starbucks.  I heard that they used the Tazo mix for their latte and I decided to give it a try.  For the price of one drink I can get a carton to make around 8 or more.  I mix mine with almond milk and usually make it hot but you can use any milk and serve hot or cold.  Now it's not exactly like the Starbucks latte but for the price and ease of making it at home I'll settle.

Revlon Age Rewind Under Eye Concealer: After hearing raves about this stuff on YouTube I had to try it out myself.  It is a magic little product.  Super easy I use with a built in applicator and product itself is awesome!  It covers up my under eye circles really well and is super easy to use.

Coffee-Mate Coconut Creme Coffee Creamer: I have discovered my favorite creamer ever this year.  Seriously I look forward to waking up in the morning so I can have my coconut creme coffee.  I heard about this from a blog and thought mmmmm coconut creamer I need to try that!  It is a little hard to find, Walmart was the only place I have been able to find it.  The flavor is delicate and not overly coconuty.  It is a slight just nice coconut flavor that really complements your coffee.

Palm Beach Sandals: I have always been a fan of Jack Rogers, and have a pair myself, but they were always hurting my feet.  I collaborated with this brand over the summer and got to try one of their famous sandals.  They look just like the Jack Rogers (and honestly the price is about the same) yet they are more comfortable than my Jack Rogers pair.  The sole is a lot thicker and I feel like I get more support.  I wore mine pretty much everyday over the summer with dresses, shorts, jeans, etc.

Belif Aqua Bomb: I love a good moisturizer, this one blows it out of the water!  It is my absolute favorite!!  The consistency is almost like a gel.  It soaks into your skin so well and mouistirizes like no other.  After washing my face I slather this stuff on and my face has been really mouistirizes throughout this winter.  This is really awesome since I usually have dry dry DRY skin in the winter.  Lifesaver!!

Sugar in the Raw: I am never going to be able to drink my coffee black...just a fact.  I need some sugar and creamer.  These sugar packets take the guesswork out of how much to put in your coffee and it's a good portion control.

Patagonia Re-Tool Fleece Pullover: yet another birthday present and I love it!!  It is so soft and cozy.  I wear it around the house, running errands, traveling.  It is so comfortable!  They are a little pricey but I love mine!!

Merona Boots: These boots have been on repeat for all the cold weather months this year.  They are the so comfortable and the perfect effortless boot.

e.l.f. Contouring Blush Duo in St. Lucia: I heard about this on Pinterest based on it being a dupe for the ever so popular NARS blush in orgasm.  I don't have that blush myself but based on the swatches online it's pretty close.  This product in and of itself is great.  I am a huge fan of e.l.f. products and this doesn't disappoint.  Very pigmented, easy to blend and good color payoff. For $3, you can't beat it!

The Duggar Family: Most of you know that I completely fell in love with the Duggar family in 2015.  I had never really watched them before and I just decided to give it a whirl.  That big family just drew me in.  I love learning about all the kids, seeing how they all manage and just the patience and parenting of Jim Bob and Michelle is really interesting.  I love how they stick to their faith even when it's hard and they stay true to themselves.  I have read one of their books (Growing Up Duggar) and I even got to hear (and meet!) Jessa and Ben.  I was really sad to hear about all the media controversy and issues going on with Josh but that family stuck to their beliefs. I think they handled everything with grace  and dignity.  I am so excited for the Jill and Jessa Counting On!!!

Walmart Ponte Pants: I picked up these pants on clearance for I think less than $5.  I am absolutely obsessed with them! They are high waisted so they hold you in (you know what I'm talking about ladies) they are super thick so they cover you more than leggings but still are super comfy.  I now have about 4 pairs and I want more.

Cinderella: Ask my mom what movie I played over and over when I was younger and her answer will be without a doubt Cinderella.  I have always been in love with fairy tales and I was so excited for the Cinderella remake.  This movie is magical and absolutely beautiful.  The characters are wonderful, I adore Lily James as Cinderella and the prince is quite dreamy.  It is such a well made remake, I highly recommend.

What did you love this year?

Smashbox Products!!

I love a good makeup product, I just hate dishing out the money for it.  Smashbox has always been one of those brands that were a little too pricey for me.  When the majority of your makeup collection consists of drugstore I don't splurge very often.

I was so excited to team up with Smashbox and share some of my favorite products with you.

I got to try out a couple of things that I LOVE!

Smashbox Photo Primer: I have heard so many people rave about this product that I wanted to try it for myself.  It did not disappoint.  I put this on under my makeup in the morning and it still looked fresh when I got home from work.  Generally I don't use a primer everyday but for events or days when I know I am going to be gone a long time without being able to touch up my makeup this is perfect.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: I was skeptical of this product and wasn't really sure what to do with it.  I read some reviews and how-to's and saw most people using it either before and after foundation (or just after) to help set and moisturize their skin.  This stuff is awesome!  I use as a toner, primer, and finisher.  It helps your makeup to stay, no oily spots and it also makes your skin feel really great.

Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Kit: this was my favorite thing that I got.  I have been wanting a good contour kit to try out I just didn't want to dish out the money and try something if I wasn't sure I was going to love it.  This one is pricey at $45 but the product is great.  It goes on smooth, easy application and it lasts a long time.  It is compact and comes with your contour, bronzer and highlight all in one package.

I also tried out three lipsticks and I will be honest I was a little worried about these. I tend to be a whimp when it comes to color on my lips.  I really don't wear a lot and definitely not bright colors.  I am trying to step out of my comfort zone a little and try different colors.  They are all super pigmented and feel really nice (also they stay on really well, I had to scrub to get them off my hand)

Smashbox Posy Pink: Out of the three this was the most neutral of the bunch.  It is a really pretty rosy pink color that I am excited to throw on in the spring.  It is a creme sheen but not too shiny.

Smashbox Paris Pink Matte: A little intimidating this shade is a really light bright pink matte shade.  I think it is really pretty and good for the spring but I am not sure how it will look on me.

Smashbox Infrared Matte: This one is super intimidating and super pigmented. The color is this beautiful bright pinky red.  I am so scared to use it but since it is matte maybe it will be a little less in your face.  I'm just going to have to put on my big girl pants and swipe it on one of theses days...

Have you tried any Snashbox products?  What are your favorites?

Stocking Stuffers for Girls

Stocking Stuffers for Girls

Can you believe that Christmas is next week???  Where did the month go?  I though I would share some stocking stuffer ideas in case you need inspiration for your friends, daughters, wives, whoever it may be.  These are some items I would personally love to find in my stocking...hint hint.

Gift cards: these are perfect for stocking stuffers as they are small and cute.  This one is a Starbucks which I love but you could get anything that suits them.

Sunglasses: I am not an expensive sunglasses girl.  Sure I would love to have a pair of designer sunglasses but I would probably never wear them for fear of breaking them.  For me cheap sunglasses are the way to go.  This pair from forever21 is on trend and so cute.

Coffee mugs: I am a coffee mug hoarder. We have a cabinet full of them and I still find myself looking for more.  There is just something about drinking your cup of coffee from a cute special mug.  Just think whenever they have heir coffee they will think of you and your sweet gift.  This one from Kohls is adorable and has a top so it's travel friendly.

Cute compact:  I love getting cute little items in my stocking.  Compacts are great because somehow mine always end up broken or lost.  This one from forever21 is adorable!

Socks:  Socks may seem boring but I love getting fun ones in my stocking.  Bonus if they are Christmas themed.  I am absolutely obsessed with the cabin socks from the sporting goods stores.  Hey are the softest socks you have ever felt I guarantee it.  Go feel them, seriously you will want to curl up in them.

Nail polish: This is always fun to find in your stocking.  I am a nail polish addict and I have no shame.  Essie and OPI are my favorites and this seche fast dry top coat is something new I want to try.

Candy: if you don't get candy in your stocking is it even Christmas??  Some of my favorites are Reese's, Milky Ways, chocolate coins and these Hershey Candy Cane bars (they taste like a big version of candy cane kisses and are so very dangerous!)

Jewelry: Perfect stocking stuffers, you can find inexpensive pieces at Walmart, Target, and Forever21.  What girl wouldn't want to get jewelry in her stocking??

Makeup: Beauty items are great stocking stuffers because they are small and relatively inexpensive.  This is a new palette from e.l.f. that's on my wish list.  It's the clay eyeshadow palette.  e.l.f. Is one of my favorite brands, it's super affordable yet still high quality.  You can find them at Target, CVS, Walmart and their own website.  If you are unsure of what colors to get stuck with more basic nudes, flattering on everyone.
Also this Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is one of my favorite products and super easy to use.  I always get the lightest shade since I'm super pale, pick them up at Walmart.

Travel size products: These are the perfect size for a stocking and are so useful.  I love little mini products to throw in a bag or keep for easy travel. I spotted these Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo travel sets at Target. This is one of my favorite dry shampoos.

What are you hoping to find in your stocking?

Hair for days: irresistible me hair extensions review

I was contacted by Irresistable Me a hair extension company to review their products.  100% natural Remy clip-in hair extensions, hair accessories and hair tools.  I have never really been one to be all gung-ho about hair extensions but have heard a lot of people rave about theirs and thought I would give it a go.

They come in a cute little box and make sure you read the package!!

The package has two sides. The smaller side is the tester. You can look, feel and check out the color to see what you think.  Don't open the big part until you know you want to keep it.  If you don't like the product based on the sample piece you can send it back, you are stuck with it if you open the whole thing.

The hair pieces have little combs and grippers that you place in your hair.  I have never used extensions before so I had a little trouble getting them in my hair.  My hair is pretty slick so things tend to fall out (bobby pins, clips, curls, etc)

I am still learning how to use them but the color is pretty close (which is a hard thing for a redhead).

They are super soft and feel like my real hair.  I am going to have to work on getting them to stay in my hair and styling with them.

September Favorites

September Favorites

As you all know I have been slack-a-lacking on my weekly favorites (or just blogging in general)....I have had quite a few things going on.  One thing is really exciting and I hope it will come together soon!

Anyways here are my September Favorites:

-Kendra Scott Hazel Earrings in Gold Iridescent: My sweet husband picked these out for me for our one year anniversary.  He picked them up from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so they were a lot cheaper.  These are so classy.  I wear them all the time!

-I Was Made for Loving You by Tori Kelly and Ed Sheeran:  This song is absolutely adorable!!  The vibe is so sweet and relaxing and I am just in love with the verses!

-Free Breakfast!!  So September was the month of free breakfasts!  Seriously McDonalds gave out free coffee for teachers every Monday.  The Chick-Fil-A in our neighborhood gave out a free breakfast item every Wednesday.  Then this past Tuesday Dunkin Donuts celebrated National Coffee day by giving away free Dark Roast Coffee.  I had the most delicious coffee ever!  Usually I'm not a huge fan of Dunkin Donuts coffee but oh man this has changed my mind.  I got the Dark Roast iced with mocha.  Seriously this stuff was good to the end.

-CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor in Blushed Mauve: So I picked this little guy up at Big Lots for $3 Which is a great deal as these are around $8 in other stores.  This lasts all day and I love how it has its own moisturizer stick so you can keep applying that all day.  Mauve has also been a favorite color of mine for my lips, I am not one to wear a lot of color on my lips but mauve has been one I have branched out in.  I feel like it is a color that just works with my skin tone.

-Fall: Ahhhh it is finally fall!  Fall is my absolute favorite season ever.  I love the colors the change in the weather, the decorations and all the things that go along with it.  I am so excited for the clothes and to wear my tights, boots, scarves, sweaters all day everyday!

-Boom Chicka Bits in Fruit and Nut: I picked this stuff up at DirtCheap on 90% off and oh man its delicious!  This is pretty much popcorn and sweet stuff on top and some nuts and pomegranate seeds.  The flavor is awesome and how cute is that package??

-Chicken Cantina PowerBowl from Taco Bell: Alright I might ruffle some feathers but being a farmer's daughter I have decided to try and stay away from Chipotle...I know scandalous.  The company has made a stand that is hurting farmers, they aren't supporting them and their ads and media are just offensive.  So with that being said my husband and I have turned to Taco Bell and their cantina power bowls.  Oh my goodness I actually like it better than Chipotle...I mean they give you guacamole for free!

-Phillip Lim for Target bag: This bag came out at Target on one of those designer collabs around 2 years ago or so and I just couldn't pay the $50 for it.  After that I saw pictures of it all the time on instagram and ahhh I wanted it so bad.  So fast-forward two years and I found it for $20 on poshmark!  I am in love with this bag and it is the absolute perfect fall bag!

Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2015

Went to the mailbox this morning and was surprised by my beauty box...it's the little things :)

The Walmart Beaut box is a seasonal box that costs $5 and has an array or various full size/sample size products and coupons.

Alright so inside this little guy:
  • Aveeno Active Naturals Protect+Hydrate Sunscreen Lotion for Face (sample size and coupon)
  • Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serum Radiance Restore with Pure Cocoa Butter (full size)
  • One Direction You & I (fragrance sample)
  • Simple Micellar Cleansing Water (foil sample and coupon)
  • Neutogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser (sample size)
  • Rimmel London Show Off Lip Velvet Matte in Meteoric (full size)

Verdict:

This box was just so-so.  Yes I did get 2 full size products and that lotion is great (pretty much pays for the box) but I'm just not crazy about it.  First off I have a box full of lotions (no kidding).
The face lotion is nice and a pretty decent sample size.
The fragrance sample is decent and it has a pump (which is necessary).
The Simple cleansing water is pretty much nothing I mean a foil sample of a cleansing water...??
Plus I have already gotten the Neutrogena sample in another box (maybe Wal-Mart?)
The lippie is great that it is full size but the color is a little scary.

So final verdict is just ok...good full size products but just not crazy for me.

Did you guys get a box?  What did you think?  If you have another subscription box you love let me know!!
