 I just recently celebrated my birthday and had so many free items/discounts available!  I wanted to share with you all my list of FREE things you can get for your birthday.  You do have to sign up for emails to get these but they really are FREE!

Chicken Salad Chick: You do have to download the app and sign up for this one but you get a Free Chick Special which is like $7 so it's totally worth it!

Nothing Bundt Cakes: Join their e-club for a Free Bundlet!  They are DELICIOUS!

Starbucks: This one is a little more in depth, you sign up for their rewards program with a gift card and then you get a Free drink or food item on your birthday.  This freebie is ONLY valid on your actual birthday so don't wait!  Also you do have to tell them you have a birthday reward to use if you are ordering in person, ont eh app you can just choose to apply.

Dunkin': Sign up for DDPerks and get Free drink of any size on your birthday.

 

Chick-Fil-A: Download their app and you get a Free Chocolate Chunk Cookie on your birthday.  These cookies are one of my favorites!

IHOP: Sign up for emails and get a Free stack of pancakes for your Birthday!

Sbarro: Sign up for the Slice Society and you get a Free slice of pizza for your birthday.

Sprinkles: Download their app and make an account for a free birthday cupcake!

Steak and Shake: Sign up for their e-club to get an automatic free Double n' cheese and fries plus a Free  birthday milkshake!

CVS: Even the drugstore celebrates birthdays!  If you are a CVS beauty club member check your email during your birthday I had a coupon for a Free Poparazzi nail polish.

Sephora birthday

I just recently celebrated my birthday and picked up my FREE Sephora Birthday Gift.  This year you got to pick from Three different options!

If you are unfamiliar with the Sephora Birthday gift you are definitely missing out!  You sign up for their FREE insider program and every year during your birthday month you get a free gift.  It's always a nice deluxe sample.

Like I said they had three options to pick from this time: a MILK makeup set, Briogeo hair set and a Janerio lotion set.  I typically pick the makeup set but this time I went with the lotion set.  I have tried this lotion before and it smells AMAZING!

You get two deluxe sample sizes of the lotion in this cute little box.

They are small but they are perfect for travel or throwing in your purse.  The yellow one is the classic that I'm obsessed with and the teal one is a newer scent and y'all it smells like a cookie!

Birthday Celebrations

 

Yes the rumors are true, I turned 30 ;)  I'll be honest I wasn't too excited about it, I've gotten used to it now and am excited to welcome a new decade of my life.  Here's to 30!

 My birthday was on a Wednesday so celebrations started then and pretty much just continued to the weekend.  I thought I would share all the happenings:

First off I was surprised at work with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, cupcakes and balloons!

On my birthday night Kyle and I grabbed dinner at one of those create your own pizza places (so good!)  We also stopped by the new Nothing Bundt Cakes and picked up some.  He got the White Chocolate Raspberry which was delicious and I got my old standby Confetti which was delicious as well!  This was our first time trying them before and we were both surprised by how moist and delicious they were!  Highly recommend checking them out, also the bundlets are pretty big.

Of course I got my birthday Starbucks drink.  I went with my favorite Coconut milk Mocha Macchiatto.  I also had a free pastry from Panera and got the almond croissant that was AMAZING!

I was definitely spoiled by my family and friends with all the sweet cards and gifts. 

For a couple of years now Kyle has been taking me shopping for my birthday.  We make a day out of it and really enjoy the time together.

This year we started off with Frutta Bowls!  We are both obsessed with these things, if you haven't tried one they are so delicious!!

I have been wanting to check out the Vulcan Statue and Museum for a while now and we finally made it.  I've got a blog post coming with more info on our experience, be on the lookout!  

We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping around.  How pretty are these Anthropologie mugs?  I love looking around that store but the prices are a little steep for me. 

You know I stumbled on some deals.  Forever21 was having a crazy clearance sale and I found a pair of overalls and this really pretty tropical maxi dress for $3 each. 

We ended the night with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.  It was a pretty long wait but look at that cheesecake!

Thanks to everyone for all the sweet birthday wishes, gifts and  making my day special!  I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.

Sephora Birthday Gift 2019

Yay to free beauty products from Sephora!!  If you aren't a Sephora Beauty Insider member you need to join right now.  It's completely FREE and you get free stuff, so why not??

Every year Sephora gives insider members a free gift for your birthday.  You get to pick between 2 choices, usually a skincare set and a makeup set.  I have always chosen the makeup item but this year I went with the skincare option. 

 The skincare option this year was a Drunk Elephant set and I was really interested in trying it out.

The makeup option was a Kat Von D set with lipstick samples and an eyeliner, I just felt like being different and trying the skincare.

Funny story, my husband was with me when I picked them up and when I asked for the Drunk Elephant set he looked up and was like "Huh??"

You get a cleanser and a moisturizer and they are pretty good sizes, I have been using them for a week now and still have a good amount left.

I'm definitely a fan of these products, the moisturizer is great and feels so good on my skin.

How to get Kendra Scott for 50% off!!

I have been a fan of Kendra Scott for years, I'm just not a fan of the price tag.  I have a pair of earrings that my husband got for our anniversary one year.  I have always wanted one of the Elisa stone pendants but didn't want to shell out $50 or more.

Y'all know I am all about a good deal and I had to share this one with you.  Did you know that during your birthday month if you go to a Kendra Scott store you can receive 50% off ANY item???

You can only redeem this in store, not online (unfortunately) but it is a super easy process.  I decided that this birthday was the one I took advantage of so my husband and I took a trip to the Kendra Scott store.  I knew I wanted an Elisa but I wasn't completely sure what color stone I wanted.  I looked around and fell in love with this blue illusion one.  

When you checkout you just mention that you want to apply the birthday discount.  They will check your id and put an email on file to track your discount, super simple.

P.S. you can also use your boyfriend/husband's discount during heir birthday month they just have to be with you ;)

What I Got for my Birthday 2019

I turned another year older last week and was spoiled by my friends and family.  Here's what I got:

Leopard pullover: This one was technically a gift to me, it just happened to come in on my birthday.  Y'all this this pullover is less than $10!!  It is so soft, comes in lots of colors and I'm obsessed with it!!

Boots: I picked up these boots on clearance in store for less than $12!!  I love the rugged look and can't wait to style them!

Kendra Scott Elisa: My big present this year was this Kendra Scott Elisa necklace!  I have been wanting one for years.  I picked out the blue illusion stone and am in love!

Pillows: Random gift but y'all these pillows are my favorite!!  My mother-in-law knew that I absolutely love the pillows we sleep on when we visit them so she sent me two pillows for my birthday and I'm so excited for them!

Friends Mug: My mom is the cutest and she sent me this Central Perk mug!!!

High Top Sneakers: Y'all know I had these on my Christmas wishlist, they sold out and my husband couldn't get them for me.  Well they came back in stock and I snatched those suckers up.  I have been wearing them like crazy.  They are super comfy and really go with everything.

I also got a few gift cards and other sweet things, thanks to all my wonderful friends and family for making me feel special.

Birthday Weekend

This girl turned another year older last week and we did a little celebrating.  For a few years my husband and I have taken a shopping trip for my birthday.  We go out and I pick out a few things that I have been wanting for my birthday from my husband.

First stop was Sephora and I picked up my Sephora Birthday Gift.  I'll share more on this later in a post I'm sure.  I picked out the Drunken Elephant one and have really been loving it.

Since our Gap was going out of business I got pulled in by the sales, my husband ended up getting a pair of jeans and and I found this really cute Star Blouse.  I love the flowy blouse fit but it is a really comfortable cotton material that is perfect for spring and summer.  At right under $7 I couldn't pass it up.

We made a stop at Target and I found these Danica hiking boots on clearance for $11.38!!  I had seen these on Emily Soto from With Style and Grace and loved them on her.  I was so excited to find them on clearance for myself.

My big birthday present this year was a Kendra Scott Elisa necklace.  I have wanted one for years and finally decided to go ahead and make it a part of my collection.  I picked out the blue illusion stone and I'm in love!  It is a beautiful light blue/gray and I have been wearing it almost everyday.  P.S. check out my blog post to see how to get Kendra Scott for 50% off!!

Sephora Birthday Gift 2017 (and swatches)

My birthday was this month so I had to stop by Sephora and pick up my birthday gift for the year!  For those of you unfamiliar with the Sephora birthday gift it is a FREE set of items given out once a year on your birthday.  All you have to do is sign up to be a Beauty Insider!  

This year is a really good gift so if you haven't signed up go ahead and do it!

You get a choice between the Tarte or Caudalie gift sets.  I picked the Tarte because makeup :)

I was really excited about both products!  The blush is a really pretty pinky color that is perfect for spring.  The lip color was a pleasant surprise.  It looked really light in the tube but it is a really pretty blushed nude color.  I have already used them both and love them!  Also how cute are those names?  Perfect for birthday gifts!!
