Thrift Haul

Total random thrifting haul...when I have time I like to stop by the thrift store (you never know when they might have that amazing item).  Here were my finds from this day:

This bag is not going to be everyone's taste but I am digging it.  I love the muted vintage floral pattern, I can see pairing it with a sweater and boots in the fall.

This piece I forgot t take a picture of before I painted it...but I got this guy for $10.  I painted it white and added a little distressing.

I also picked this dress up for $1 and I love it!  I don't know when I am ever going to wear it...maybe my next ball or wedding but the shape is so pretty.  I love the knotted front and muted watercolor floral print!

It was originally $100 from Target and was part of their Lela Rose Neiman Marcus line.

Let me know your recent deal finds!

What to Wear to Disney

If you have been following along for a while you know that I love Disney and have been lucky enough to go quite a few times in the past year.  I have gotten quite a collection of shirts, ears and accessories.  I think it is so fun to accessorize and get into the magic with your outfits.  I mean where else is it acceptable to wear Mickey ears??

My typical Disney outfit is a pair of leggings or jeans, Disney T-shirt, a flannel (in case it gets cold), a backpack, tennis shoes and Mickey ears.

Here are some of my favorites:

How cut is that backpack??  It is my new favorite and it was less than $20...what??

The home shirt is one of my new favorites, use the code PINCHOFGINGER for 15% off at Frontsight through August 31!!

This tee is a men's, I love getting an oversize top and throwing it on over leggings and a flannel.  So comfy for a long day at the park.

Tennis shoes are a must!  You are walking miles, take care of your feet!!

Be on the lookout for cute walls (they are everywhere) and make great photo backdrops.

Another cute wall for the win. ;)

My mom got this hat for me from Hot Topic and I am obsessed with it!  Perfect for a Star Wars lover like myself.  Oh and how cute is this Mickey Storm Trooper tee??

Where is your favorite place to find Disney stuff?

Rue21 Haul: Jewelry and Accessories

I stopped in our local mall to get my rings cleaned and decided to run into Rue21.  Rue21 is really great at marking down their merchandise.  I definitely never pay full price here because they always have a really great clearance section.  This time they had a small section of things for $1 and I found a couple of really cute accessories.

I love this crystal layered choker.  The detail is really pretty.  It was originally $7.99.

I picked this one up to try and jump on the choker trend...even though I'm super late.  This came with a set of two chokers and two nose rings...which I tossed.

I really love this choker necklace set.  The detail on that choker is beautiful and it is another two piece set.

My last find was this double buckle western inspired belt.  Seriously this belt was $1 y'all!

Do you shop at Rue21?  What deals have you found lately?

Five Things Friday

Disney Coffee Cozy: The cutest coffee cozy ever!!  I have been throwing one in my purse in case I need to add a little Disney magic to my coffee.  These are handmade and Catherine has so many cute patch options.

Halo Top: Oh my goodness this ice cream is amazing!!!!!  These are a semi healthy option in the ice cream department.  You have probably seen them on instagram and if you haven't tried them yet go do it.  They are all less than 400 calories for the entire pint, some are less than 300.  Kyle and I have tried the Birthday Cake, Black Cherry, Sea Salt Caramel and Peanut Butter Cup.  They all taste like regular ice cream and are delicious.  We typically split a container and don't feel too bad if we end up finishing the pint.  Our Wal-Mart has started carrying them and there is a Red Velvet pint I can't wait to try next.

Zulily: I used to be obsessed with Zulily in college and then forgot about it somehow.  I recently rediscovered it and I'm back on the Zulily bandwagon.  They are one of those deal sites with new deals everyday.  They have everything from home decor to kids clothes.  Oh and it is free to sign up, so you have nothing to loose!

Braided Headband: Y'all these headbands are a bad hair day lifesaver!!  They almost match my hair exactly and are so comfortable!!  I have been throwing it on over a ponytail to add a little umph.  Last Sunday I threw it on over a messy bun and the little old ladies were raving about it.

Quilted Slip Ons: If you follow me on instagram you would know how much I love these shoes...they have been on serious repeat since I picked them up.  They are originally from Target but I got them from Dirt Cheap for $6!!  They did take a little time to break in but now they are so comfortable and I wear them absolutely all the time.  They are also an identical dupe to a Steve Madden version that is double the cost.

What I Read in June

Porch Lights by Dorothea Benton Frank: This is my second book by Mrs. Frank and it was pretty good.  Just an easy light summer read.  The story focuses on Jackie a single mom who with her son moves back in with her mother for the summer.  Her mom and dad have had off and on marital problems and Jackie's husband has recently passed away.  It is a story about family and the ties that bind us all together.  It was a quick and easy read and I enjoyed it.

Savannah Blues by Mary Kay Andrews: I am a fan of Mary Kay Andrews books.  They are always easy to read, lighthearted and filled with great characters.  This book followed Weezie, an antique picker, a murder, a hot chef all set in southern Savannah.  I really enjoyed this one, it was a quick read and I really liked reading about Weezie's picking adventures.

The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey: "How do you rid the earth of seven billion humans?  Rid the humans of their humanity."  This is the second book in The 5th Wave series.  I loved the first one so I had pretty high hopes.  This one was different but it didn't disappoint. I thought it was really interesting how it was written and getting to jump into different characters thoughts.  This one made me think, it focused a lot on the idea of what makes us human.  "And I don't know which is more inhuman: the alien beings that created this new world or the human being who considers, if only for an instant, pressing the green button."  This was definitely the most serious book I read this month and one that I felt stuck with me after I finished reading.

Vision in White by Nora Roberts:  This was my first Nora Roberts book, and I might have picked it up because the cover was really pretty...It was your typical chick lit easy read summer book, but I really enjoyed it.  The main character is Mackensie, a wedding photographer who works with her three best friends.  They have a wedding business (venue, cake, flowers, photographer, the whole thing).  That side of things was really interesting in itself.  Of course there is a romance and drama there.  Nothing amazing but if you are looking for an easy enjoyable read this is a good pick.  Nora Roberts is definitely on my list.

What have you been reading this month?

Dollar Tree Haul: Art and Ice Cream

I found myself at the Dollar Tree and picked up just a few things.  Here is my random haul:

These were what I originally came to the Dollar Tree for...I love these things.  They obviously not as good as the original ones but I love them.  That cake crunch outer layer is my favorite!

It is a hard wooden "box" art piece that is the cutest, totally giving me Hobby Lobby vibes.  Can't you just picture it in a cute gallery wall?

Kyle really liked this one so we picked it up for his office.  How pretty is that scene?

Dirt Cheap Haul

I am a big fan of Dirt Cheap (as most of you know).  I stopped by one day and found a pretty good amount of things, thought I would share:

This little kitten purse was too cute to pass up!  It is so tiny and sparkly.  I might even use it for Disney.

I have really been loving no show socks.  These were $1 each and how cute is that R2D2 one??

This book was 10 cents and I picked it up for my sister.

All of these craft supplies were 79 cents each.  I picked up three of these cords, perfect for making chokers or other jewelry.

This iron on decal would be really fun on the back of a jacket.

I was really excited to find these scented transfer papers.  You can print your own iron-ons.

You never know when you are going to need iron-on numbers.

I have been loving patches lately, these tattoo ones are so cute!

These cheetah animal print letters are so fun!

And in regular cheetah!

Jewelry findings for DIYs.

Iron on letters for a jean jacket design or other personalized DIY.

These heart findings are so pretty.  They would be perfect for jewelry or attaching to presents.

More patches!

These patches are so fun they have charms and sequins.

My favorite find was this pair of lace-up leopard flats.  I have been loving all the lace-up flats on instagram and leopard is totally a neutral in my book.  These were a kids size but since I am a 6.5 they work for me.
