10 Tip on How to Do Disney

Alright y'all I have been thinking about this post for a while to make sure I had all my tips squared away.  I have been pretty lucky to go to Disney quite a few times in the past couple of years and I feel like I have finally gotten the hang of it ;).  So from a fellow Disney lover here are my personal tips for doing Disney:

1. Use the My Disney Experience App!  This is a free app (and wifi is available in the parks for free) that has so many uses in the parks!  You can use it to check wait times, order food and schedule your fastpasses, check out maps and so much more!  Seriously it is a must-have for making the most of your Disney day.

2. Ok so Fastpasses...USE THEM!!!  If you are staying on property you can book your passes up to 60 days in advance (30 for off-site guests).  Book them early!  Also if possible book all three of your choices for morning slots so you can use those and pick more as the day progresses.

3. If you can't get a FastPass for a ride you really want you can always ride it at the end of the night.  If you are in line right before park closes you are guaranteed to ride and it is typically a much shorter wait.  I have done this personally with Flight of Passage and only had to wait about 45 minutes compared to 3 hours.

4. Don't wait in line for food!  I mentioned earlier you can use the My Disney Experience App to order food, y'all it is a time saver!  You order through the app and then skip the line and pick up your food.  Such a great trick and you are able to see exactly what you are ordering and how much it costs so it's easier for your budget.

5. Another food tip...DON'T spend money on water!  All counter service restaurants will give you free water, you just have to ask.

6. Get cute pictures by asking the cast members (even photopass people) to take your picture with your own personal camera or phone.  They know what they are doing and it's free.

7. Save money and buy discounted Disney Gift Cards to pay for your trip at Sam's Club or Target (save 5% with your redcard).

8. Want to be in the park with little to no crowds?  Try an 8:00AM or earlier breakfast reservation.  This gets you in the park and once you are done eating you can roam around with little to no crowds.  This is the perfect time to get those shots in front of the castle without trying to fight everyone else.  Also breakfast is typically the least expensive meal so it is a great time to try Be Our Guest or a character meal.

9. Wear Comfortable Shoes!!  You are walking ALL day, this is not the time to try out your cute new shoes, flip-flops or heels.  Be kind to your feet and throw on your comfy tennis shoes.  The average person walks 7-10 miles a day at Disney, your feet with thank you.

10. Use a FREE TravelAgent.  My personal favorite is Trudy at Ears of Experience, she loves Disney just as much as I do!  Travel agents come at no additional costs but they can be a big saver for your vacation.  They have the inside information on the best deals and hookups and can be a big help in planning.  If you are unsure of how Disney works or you just want to let someone else handle it check them out for sure!  Honestly who wouldn't want someone else to plan their vacation??

That wraps it up, hope these are helpful!  If you are planning a Disney trip in the near future let me know down below, I'm jealous!!  Also let me know your favorite Disney tip, I'm always looking for more!!  I'm dreaming of my next trip, Star Wars Land is opening soon and I would love to go with Kyle.  Hopefully we will see you real soon Disney!

Millennial Pink Magic Band and Rose Gold Ears!!

If you are a fan of Disney you know that rose gold and millennial pink have taken over.  I have had my eyes on the millennial pink magic band since they came out (seriously so cute!).  I was super lucky and ended up wining a giveaway on instagram where I won a millennial pink magic band AND a pair of beautiful rose gold ears!!
The giveaway was hosted by Mimosas and Mouse Ears.  They are a mother daughter team creating the cutest Disney ears.

They are so cute, check them out if you are in the market for Disney ears!!  They also do custom ears which is awesome.

What's In My Disney Backpack and Must Haves

If you have been around for a while you know I LOVE Disney.  I have had the chance to go to Disney World a couple of times in the past two years and I feel like I have a good feel for the parks and what you need for the day.  If you are planning a trip to Disney hopefully this will help you plan what you need.  Here's what I carry throughout the day:

Backpack: This is my absolute favorite Disney bag, I ordered it online and cannot wait to carry it in the parks.

Phone case: Because your phone should be Disney'd out too

Wallet: I like to bring a small wallet when I travel so I have more space in my bag.

Charger and cable: An external charger and your cord are lifesavers!  They sell some in the parks but they are pricey.

Disney Buttons: I love using fun buttons to add character to my jacket, bag, etc. Talk Disney to Me and Here for the Food are That Gray StuffHands Off My Dole Whip is from Wonderland Buttons.

Sunglasses: Whether you are in Florida or California it's bound to be sunny, a good pair of sunglasses is a must!

Hand Sanitizer: Trust me you need this!  So many people and germs around hand sanitizer is your best friend!

Wet Brush: All those rides get my hair super tangled, I like to bring a brush just to smooth out my hair after riding space mountain.

Bandaids: You never know when you might need one.

Hair Ties: Again, super tangled hair on rides sometimes just call for a hair tie.

Lypsyl: Just chapstick in general is a must have.

Lipstick: Not a must have but you are taking a lot of picture, might as well make sure your lips look good.  My favorite easy to apply color of the moment is Maybelline Warm Me Up

Sunscreen: Do your skin a favor and protect it with some sunscreen!

I also will typically throw a poncho in that I purchased from the Dollar Tree, you never know when it will start to rain in Florida.

Let me know what your must-haves are for Disney and your favorite things to do at Disney!

What to Wear to Disney

If you have been following along for a while you know that I love Disney and have been lucky enough to go quite a few times in the past year.  I have gotten quite a collection of shirts, ears and accessories.  I think it is so fun to accessorize and get into the magic with your outfits.  I mean where else is it acceptable to wear Mickey ears??

My typical Disney outfit is a pair of leggings or jeans, Disney T-shirt, a flannel (in case it gets cold), a backpack, tennis shoes and Mickey ears.

Here are some of my favorites:

How cut is that backpack??  It is my new favorite and it was less than $20...what??

The home shirt is one of my new favorites, use the code PINCHOFGINGER for 15% off at Frontsight through August 31!!

This tee is a men's, I love getting an oversize top and throwing it on over leggings and a flannel.  So comfy for a long day at the park.

Tennis shoes are a must!  You are walking miles, take care of your feet!!

Be on the lookout for cute walls (they are everywhere) and make great photo backdrops.

Another cute wall for the win. ;)

My mom got this hat for me from Hot Topic and I am obsessed with it!  Perfect for a Star Wars lover like myself.  Oh and how cute is this Mickey Storm Trooper tee??

Where is your favorite place to find Disney stuff?

Spring Disney Trip, Last Time for Wishes

These pictures have been a long time coming.  I went to Disney for a week in February/March and it was wonderful!  Epcot was doing the Flower and Garden Festival so they had the topiaries and all the food (even more than usual).  Here's a showcase of some of my favorite pictures from the trip:

We stumbled on an airplane skywriter in the Magic Kingdom, just a little extra magic.

Dinosaur Land in Animal Kingdom is such a cute area!  It is one of my favorite parts of the park.  Primeval Whirl anyone??

This picture was such a lucky happening.  They were doing these Tangled pictures for just a short time and we stumbled on them at the themed restrooms.  There was definitely a line but it was such a neat picture opportunity, definitely worth the wait.

My last time seeing Wishes!  So sad it is gone but I am excited to see the new firework show.

Festival of Fantasy!!

Disney is always a fun trip!  Let me know your favorite things to do at Disney!
