DIY Gift Idea: Pot Holder Stay Put Towel

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and time together with your family.  This is a little late but hey it's never too early to start planning your gifts for next year right???

I made these and gave them to a lot of the ladies on my gift list:

Pot Holder Dish Towels

These are the cutest little things, super cheap and really easy to make...honestly the middle school kids in my class made them...how hard can they be??

What you need:
  • Dish Towel (new, used, it doesn't really matter- mine came from the Dollar Tree)
  • Pot Holder (again mine came from good ol Dollar Tree)
  • Button
  • Needle and Thread

How to Make It:
  1. The towel needs to be the same width as the pot holder, so gather the ends some if it is longer and pin in place.
  2. Pin the middle of the pot holder to the middle of the dish towel, right sides together.
  3. Sew straight down the middle

Sewing on the Button:
  1. For the button you want to fold your pot holder in half and bring the loop over the front, mark the middle of the loop.
  2. Take your button and hand sew it on the marked dot.
  3. Your finished!  You can add whatever embellishments you want...I'm thinking monograms, more buttons, ribbon...etc.

Now you have a cute little gift for someone or to keep for yourself...I won't judge ;)

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Blessings,

Erin

Cutest little Lilly necklace: Kellembell Review

Preppy...Lilly...Adorable...These three words perfectly describe Kellembell.  This cute little store sells customized jewelry featuring Lilly Pulitzer fabric.

I had the chance to review one of their adorable necklaces:

Custom Lilly Pulitzer Sailor Patch Fabric Covered Button Necklace:

For this necklace, YOU choose which fabrics you want! There are five buttons on the necklace, so when you order, pick any five fabrics that you would like.

The fabric buttons are 1 1/8" wide.

These necklaces are hung on a chain with a lobster clasp. The fabric buttons sit in a beautiful lace-edged bezel. You can choose between silver and gold...I got the gold one.

The total length of the necklace is 18", but can be adjusted to a shorter length.

Seriously how adorable is this necklace???  I have been wearing it absolutely nonstop!

My FREE Taylor Swift Concert!!

So ya'll I love Taylor Swift...I have been a fan of hers since the beginning.  I know all her songs and I have every single one of her CDs.

So I was absolutely floored when I got to go to her Red Tour concert FREE!!

How did this happen you ask, well I won them on the radio.

I have never won anything on the radio before but that morning on the way to work 104.1 WTQR just happened to be giving away Taylor tickets to the 10th caller....which just ended up to me ME!!!

Guys these were pit tickets I was so close to her I could have touched her!!!  These were the best seats I had ever had at a concert!!

This was such an amazing experience and I just wanted to share my super luckiness with you all!
