Dollar Tree Haul: Home Decor, Books, Makeup

I have been obsessed with the Dollar Tree lately.  Check out my other haul here.  If you aren't a fan of the Dollar Tree you need to give it another try.  There are so many finds and they get new items all the time!  Here are a few of my recent finds:

I picked up this metal wreath ring with the hopes that I would be able to DIY a wreath....we'll see how that goes.  Maybe I'll do a post whenever I get around to making it.

I was browsing the office supply aisle and stumbled upon these calendars for 25 cents each!

They are so cute!  All the pictures are beautiful and would be perfect to frame.

Seriously that's 36 pictures for 75 cents!

I picked up this beautiful sparkly minty Revlon nail polish.  This is the perfume nail polish that is supposed to smell good after it has dried.  I have tried one of these years ago and found the quality to be really good.  I thought this color was so pretty and would be perfect for Disney.

My last find were two books.  Don't forget about the book section!  They are always getting new books and they are real books.  Sever is the third in a trilogy.  I read the first book years ago and really enjoyed it.  The basis is a dystopian society were the lifespan is 20 years and girls are stolen to become wives and have children.  I was really excited to see this book there.  The other book I found was Fearless.  I had never heard of it but I have read books by this author and really enjoyed them.  Inkheart and The Thief Lord were great!  I thought I would pick this one up and check it out.  Both of these books are hardcover and such a great find!

Let me know what you have found at the Dollar Tree lately!

My Hollar Haul

I have been a fan of Hollar for a while.  Check out my other haul here.  In case you are unfamiliar, Hollar is a deal website featuring a range of really great products.  They are always getting in new items so I like to check frequently.  They were having a free shipping promotion so I hopped on that.

I have been eyeing these Cloud Pets for a while.  They are such a cool toy.  With a wifi connection you can connect your phone to an app and can talk to the animal.  I thought it was the cutest thing and perfect for a long distance relationship.  I wish I had one when Kyle and I were dating.  I'm planning to give it to my sister when she goes off to college this year.

I'm always looking for a good sports bra and this one was under $5.

I picked these up for an extra set of silverware.  They are definitely not anything special but I have always liked the chunky plastic handled silverware.  For everyday use they work.

I love the idea of the chalkboard menu and this one is a sticker.  This would be so cute on the fridge.

First of all I am not pregnant.  These are the cutest little stickers to document the baby's growth.  I may save them or give them as a gift at the next baby shower.

I can always use another portable phone charger, and for $3 I couldn't pass on this one.

I picked up these to supplement our pyrex storage.  Honestly they were a little lackluster and the seal on the lids definitely wasn't as good but for storage they work fine.

Check out Hollar and let me know what you find!

Swap Consignment Haul

I recently discovered Swap Consignment and I am obsessed!  Y'all know I love to thrift and I am all about a good deal.  This site lets you thrift online, what could be better than sitting in your pajamas, binge watching netflix, finding a good deal?

I had a trip to California that I was shopping for and I ended up finding a piece that I really loved:

I love a good maxi dress and as soon as I saw this Hollister one I knew I had to have it!  The pattern is really pretty and it is so light and comfortable.  I love the sheer layer and keyhole cutout.  The back is open and laced up, I'm not really into showing all my skin (I'm more modest) so I threw on my favorite denim vest.  Oh and this dress was $5.

I also found two pairs of athletic leggings, you can never have to many.  Those Nike ones are so cute!  They were also less than $10 each, can't beat that!

If you are a fan of thrifting...or just a good deal go check out Swap!

What I Read in May

I don't even know how it happened but this month I somehow read five books...

The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell:  This one was just ok.  I really enjoyed the TV series that was on the CW a while back.  This was similar to the TV show but made me dislike Carrie a little, don't ask me why I just did.  It was also a little rougher and honestly I preferred the TV show...

Ross Poldark by Winston Graham: If you have been around for a while you know I love Poldark.  For those of you unfamiliar with this, Poldark is a show on Masterpiece on PBS and it is amazing!!  When I found out it was a book series I knew I had to check it out.  The basic story line is the same but there are a lot of separate stories and details that were left out of the show.  I loved the book and really enjoyed getting to get back into the world of Ross Poldark.  Maybe it will hold me off until season 3 starts back.

Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella: I am a fan of the Shopaholic series and anything by Sophie Kinsella.  I know I have reviewed a few of her books on here before.  They are light and fun, an easy read.  This book follows Becky on another crazy adventure, this time into motherhood.  She is pregnant and obviously wants to buy everything for her baby.  Lots of drama and hilarious antics from Becky are to be expected.  If you are a fan of the series check it out, it was a fun read.

Savannah Breeze by Mary Kay Andrews: I have read a few books by Mrs. Andrews before and this one did not disappoint.  It follows BeBe (pronounced "Bay-Bay") a true southern belle from Savannah, Georgia who has been wronged by a man.  She sets out to get her revenge and finds herself in the process.  It was an easy read and perfect for summer.

The Magnolia League by Katie Crouch: I think this book was a Dollar Tree find from some point.  I was just so-so on this one.  It follows Alex as she leaves her home in California to move in with her grandmother in Georgia.  Her grandmother is the head of the Magnolia League, a longstanding debutante society in Savannah.  Alex is being primed to take over but isn't so sure she wants it.  The more she learns about the society the weirder things get.  Lots of hoodoo and dark secrets are buried.  It was a strange book and I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters or really find myself liking them.  It was an interesting idea but the story just felt a little flat.

Dollar Tree Haul: Home Decor, Makeup and Groceries

Y'all the Dollar Tree has been killing it lately and I cannot stop going!  They are always getting new stock in and you never know when they are going to slip in a brand name product.  They have also been stepping up their game in their own products.  Alright here's what I picked up:

I went in to find these aluminum trays.  I want to start preparing freezer meals for the week and I thought these would be perfect to store them.  I have used them and they work great for two people.  They are a little flimsy so be gentle with them and bake them on a pan.

They come three to a pack and each one has a cardboard lid.  I like them because you just throw your meal in the container, write the directions on the lid and pop them in the freezer.

I also picked up a pack of circular ones to try.

I have been meaning to pick up a delicates bag for laundry for a long time and Dollar Tree delivered.  I haven't tested this one yet (so it may fall apart) but it feels like good quality.

These are a Dollar Tree staple for us.  Flossing with regular floss is hard but these little guys make it so much easier that we floss pretty much every day.

I have really been into fruity teas lately and thought I would pick this one up.  The flavor seems on par with the other tea bags I have tried.

This was in the spring section and I thought it was to cute!  I think it would be really cute to use for storage/decor and add that little rustic farmhouse vibe.

I found this guy in the storage and organization aisle.  It s meant for adding extra space in cabinets but I am planning on using it to create more space in my bathroom.  It isn't the sturdiest so I probably wouldn't put anything super heavy on it but for smaller items it will work.

I found more of these Revlon Parfumerie nail polishes!  I got the Spun Sugar which is a really pretty silvery color and Pink Pineapple which is the prettiest baby pink color.

My Dollar Tree had TONS of these acrylic makeup organizers...seriously where were these 5 years ago??  They are really great for holding lipstick, nail polish and any little makeup items.  I have one that I ordered online years ago for much more and they are the same quality.

The last thing were these two pretty mountain nature art prints.  I just really liked them.  They have that beautiful watercolor look and I love anything depicting the mountains.

Thrift Haul

I recently went thrifting and found a handful of goodies...for $3.50!!
Yellow tag clothes were 50 cents and shoes were $1.
I found a pair of black booties and a pair of metallic Stuart Weitzman heels.  Those alone were worth the trip.  I also found a pair of American Eagle jeans and a floral sundress.  My favorite find of the day was this faux leather jacket!  It is so soft and I love the fit.  Now I just have to wait until it gets cold again to wear it.

Have you found anything good at the thrift stores lately?

Five Things Friday

Joey Feek: I had heard about Joey and Rory before but never really listened to their music.  Over Christmas we watched the story of Joey and her lost battle with cervical cancer.  She was such an interesting and strong lady.  Her album "If Not For You" has been something I find myself listening to and have fallen in love.  She released it in 2005 and the songs are beautiful.  Her voice is beautiful and the story told through the music and behind the music is what makes it.

Cheers: Kyle and I have been watching this for months and are on season 3.  This was a show my parents watched when I was younger and I remember a few episodes.  The writing is really good, characters are likable and it has really good humor.  If you haven't seen it all the seasons are on Netflix, it's worth a watch.

Gala Apples: This is a weird favorite...but I have really been enjoying Gala apples.  Not just any apples it has to be a Gala.  I never used to like apples, they were fine but I wouldn't pick one up and be excited about it.  Gala's are sweeter and have a crispness that I love.  If you haven't tried them, I recommend them.

Simple Addiction Capri Leggings: I have talked about Simple Addiction a few times before.  I am a big fan of their regular leggings.  They just recently released a capri legging collection for spring and I had t get pair.  They are the same quality as the long version and I love them.  They are the softest leggings ever!  They also have a wide waistband so they don't dig into your skin and are so comfortable!  I love to wear leggings and tunics but sometimes a long pair is just too hot, these are perfect!  Plus use code ginger15 to get 15% off!!

Joseph Nogucci Bracelet: I found these bracelets on instagram and loved the classic look.  They have all different colors and beads.  The items are made with high quality pieces and you can definitely feel it.  They also always have some kind of deal going on (you know I'm all about that).  Right now they are offering your choice of a free bracelet (of your choice) and you just pay for shipping (right under $6).  These bracelets are so pretty to layer and create a fun arm party.

What have you been loving this week?
