McDonalds Pumpkin Spice Latte Taste Test Review

Ya'll it's Pumpkin Spice latte season and I am so excited!  I actually haven't had a PSL from Starbucks yet...
McDonald's has Pumpkin Spice lattes this year, I think they had them last year but this was my first time testing it out.  I was a little scared of it to be honest.
I got the small size since I was a little nervous about it.  Honestly it was pretty good.  It had a nice slightly spiced flavor.  It was a little sweet but not terrible.  I was a bad blogger and didn't take a picture of the inside but it is orange like Starbucks.  I still prefer Starbucks but this was a pretty good stand in.

I also had the Publix cashier tell me that they were a pretty good stand in for Starbucks :)

Verdict: If you're into pumpkin spice, it's a close second to Starbucks and worth a try.

Walmart deal finds

Y'all Walmart is my jam.  It has lots of hidden treasures and yes you can find cute fashion options there.  Don't be afraid of Walmart clothes they are not all Grandma baggy floral I promise.

How adorable is this pizza tank?  Pretty sure they had the same one at Target for more money...

Walmart is hitting the jackpot on some graphic tops, this one is adorable and $5??

Speaking to my own heart, coffee is my favorite.  I picked this one up and have been styling it on instagraminstagram.com/pinchofginger_ig.

Fall fashion is my absolute favorite!  I love layers and vests are some of my favorite pieces.  I spotted these fleece knit vests for $10 in multiple colors.  I'm loving the green and black ones.

Don't knock the handbag section.  How pretty is this blush bag?  Simple and under $10!

I'm loving these two bucket bags.  They have cute details like those tassels and side zips.  Under $20 you can't beat it.

Love the quilted detailing on this one and the nude color is so chic.

I have been looking for a cute backpack, this one is so classic and chic and the perfect size.

Another quilted bag, the gold details are so classy!  This one was on clearance for $11??

Walmart also got some higher class bags this season.  Big Buddha bags made there way to stores.  I love the tassel detail on these!  My husband did say that they looked like a deer tail but I think they are stinking cute.

They also had these cute fringe bags.  The squared off top is so fun!

Looking for a coffee cup or water bottle these are adorable.  How cute is the cat one??

Meh.  Believe in your Selfie and But First Coffee...Love them!

p.s. if anyone wants to get me something you can't go wrong with a personal princess carriage.

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Maybelline Warm Me Up: This lipstick has been my go to for weeks.  It was a recommendation from some friends and I am so glad I found it.  It is this really pretty nude mauve pink and I am obsessed with it!  With fall coming up the color is perfect for warming up your look :)

Felicity: So this show is an oldie.  I started watching this in college but never finished it.  It recently showed up on the ABC app and I had to start watching again.  Ahhh I forgot how much I loved this show!  It is so 90's, full of drama and I get so sucked into the story.  If you have never watched it, Felicity is a freshman in college.  She makes a life changing decision to follow her high school crush to New York for college.  There she makes friends, finds herself and gets into a crazy love triangle.  If you have never watched it, check it out.

Essie Armed and Ready: I have had this color for a few years and went through stages of like and dislike.  It is one of those weird colors that are really a little ugly (seriously this one looks like baby poop).  I like it with all it's ugliness.  It is a dark army green with just a slight shimmer.

Naturebox Praline Pumpkin Seeds: The pumpkin obsession continues with these delicious praline ones from Naturebox.  I had tried the Naturebox subscription service before and really enjoyed the snacks, they were just a little pricy to keep up.  Target started carrying them individually and every so often they go on a good sale.  I got these guys 40% off with the cartwheel app and used a $2 coupon bringing them to 25 cents each.  This is a crazy good deal for high quality healthier snacks.  These pumpkin seeds are so so good!  Not too sweet but still the perfect snack to satisfy that sweet craving.
Walmart Necklace: Walmart has really been stepping up there game lately and I am loving it.  I have found cute shirts, a bag and now this necklace.  I love anything turquoise, must come from my cowgirl background, this necklace was $5!  I love the beading, the tassel and the beautiful turquoise stone.  It feels like really good quality too.  I have been wearing it with dresses and tees but I can't wait to throw it on over some sweaters and pair it with my favorite boots.

Pumpkin Spice Cheerios Taste Test Review

Alright y'all pumpkin spice season is finally here!!  I'm that basic white girl who is gonna try everything pumpkin spice because I'm all about that fall life.

I'm sure all of you have seen this all over instagram, Cheerios has brought out Pumpkin Spice Cheerios for the season!!

I was wandering the aisles of Target and found this giant box on sale so you know it came home with me.

First off that box is perfectly fall and is a trap for all those fall loving girls...I totally fell for it.

It says it has real pumpkin puree, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg...

It smells really good, spicy, sweet and warm.  The flavor is pretty good.  It tastes like a crunchy pumpkin pie.  It can be a little spicy and my husband mentioned a weird aftertaste.
Verdict: If you are into all the pumpkin flavors go check it out.

The trick to better salads

I used to buy those boxed salads and they would last for a couple of days before they got slimy and gross.  You know what I'm talking about.  I finally discovered the trick to long lasting fresh salads!
It is SO simple I don't know why I haven't been doing this before.  Ok so what you do is put a paper towel on top of the lettuce to soak up the extra moisture that forms....seriously it's that simple.

I usually do two layers and switch it out every couple of days.  This package will last at least a week, when my other packages of lettuce would be gross in a couple of days.  One of the best tips I have found!

Walmart Fashion Accessories Deal Finds

So I went to Wal-Mart the other day to pick up groceries and found two goodies that had to come home with me.

I talked about the designer necklaces I found at Walmart before and when I went to look again I found this beautiful turquoise one.

I am a huge fan of turquoise anything so a beautiful necklace with a tassel for $5 was awesome!!  The necklace feels like great quality and I have been pairing it was everything lately.

I saw this bag on the @WhoaWaitWalmart instagram page and feel in love!  Of course my Walmart didn't have them and I didn't really want to order it so I waited.  Randomly while grocery shopping I found this little baby in the cereal aisle with no tag??  You better believe I grabbed it.  I had another bag in my cart on clearance for $3 and the nice checkout lady ended up giving me this one for the same price.  Seriously $3?!  I originally wanted it in the brown color but this cranberry color is gorgeous!  I have been using it pretty much non-stop and it is the perfect go-to fall bag.

Have you found any good Walmart deals lately?

Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Maybelline Color Jolt in Stripped Down: This is the perfect stay all day, my lips but better color.  Because it is so long lasting it can be  a little drying but I can deal with it.  I have been wearing it pretty much everyday since I got it and I am in love!

Fall Decor: Y'all fall is my absolute favorite time of the year.  I love the change in the weather, layering my clothes, food and all the decor!  I stopped in Hobby Lobby and their fall decor is my absolute favorite!  All the colors and textures and pumpkins!!

Walmart Saddle Bag: This bag!!!  You may have seen this on my instagram (if not follow me here).  I found this bag in the grocery section with no tag.  I knew it was sold at Walmart because I had been watching them online for a while, I just never saw them in store.  I asked the cashier and she gave it t me for $3!!  Ya'll this bag has been my carryall since I got it and I love it!  I am in love with that color as well!

FiberOne 90 Calorie Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars: With trying to eat better I have been bringing snacks to work to keep from starving to death before lunch/dinner.  I picked these bars up from Big Lots on clearance and they are delicious!! They are the best granola/snack bar I have had hands down.  90 calories and they taste like a dessert.  Check them out!

Bachelor in Paradise: So this is such a guilty pleasure...junky reality TV at its best.  This season has been so filled with drama and all the crazies!  I won't spoil anything for those of you not finished yet...but lots of proposals happen and I would love to know what you think about it.  Also how do you feel about Nick being the new Bachelor??

What I read in August

Life has been a whirlwind so I only read two books...

Deep Dish by Mary Kay Andrews: I'm a fan of Mary Kay Andrews.  She is your typical southern chick-lit author.  Yes they are predictable but they are a good quick low-key read.  This one was about a woman is the star of a local cooking show.  She ends up in a cooking competition show with a southern man who has his own wildlife cooking show.  I'm sure you have already figured out the ending.  It was a little slow and I got tired of the predictability but overall it was OK.

The Mortal Instruments City of Bones by Cassandra Clare: This was a recommendation from my sister.  She actually lent me pretty much the whole series and they have been sitting in my office taking up space.  I figured I would see what all the fuss was about.  Honestly I'm not super crazy about the demons and some of the drama in the book is a little much.  Overall it was a pretty good book and worth a read.  It was a very magic, mystical book following Clary who finds out some information about her past that changes her life.
